Rosie O'Donnell will not be on ABC's popular talk show Thursday after a big blow up with Elisabeth Hasselbeck about the war in Iraq on "The View."
ABC reported O'Donnell is taking the day off because of her wife's birthday.
Nevertheless, many are likely to speculate that O'Donnell's decision to take the day off may be connected to the argument with Hasselbeck.
On Wednesday's show a conversation started by Joy Behar dealing with getting Al Gore to run for president ended in a heated argument about the war in Iraq, and Behar wasn't even involved.
Rosie O'Donnell called Elisabeth Hasselbeck cowardly when she would not respond yes or no to whether Hasselbeck thought O'Donnell viewed the troops as terrorists.
O'Donnell was referring to comments that she said earlier this week that were misunderstood by Republicans.
"You said nothing and that's cowardly," O'Donnell said.
Hasselbeck shot back. "Do not call me a coward. Because No. 1, I sit here every single day and open my heart and tell people exactly what I believe."
How about that lucky gal who gets to be “Mrs.” O’Donnell, huh?
this is old news from yesterday, however Rosie doesn’t like it when someone stands up to her. When that happens she runs with her tail inbetween her legs.

“EXTRA” talked to the Donald last night, where he, of course, couldn’t keep quiet about mortal enemy Rosie O’Donnell and her near-nuclear meltdown with Elisabeth Hasselbeck yesterday on “The View.”
Trump says Elisabeth “is one of the dumber people on television” and “an imbecile” for supporting the war in Iraq — and even crowned Rosie the winner of that feud. Not able to leave it at that, Trump had to make it known that he still thinks O’Donnell is “a very self destructive person.”
Isn’t that special... she’s a family person.
This inquiring mind doesn't. I just ate dinner and would like to keep it in my stomach.

What a train wreck. It makes me ill that our troops are like a ‘prop’ in this sortee of publicity hounds. Why can’t they just stick to ‘discussing’ Paris Hilton’s legal troubles (oh, thats right...Cathy Hilton is a friend of Walters) so instead they (and lets include Trump) get face time arguing the dynamics of Iraq. Meredith Vierra must kiss the NBC logo every time she walks onto the Today set...
OK, I don’t watch ‘The View’ so I’m a bit confused. I thought Rosie left the show a few weeks ago over some flap between her and Baba Wawa. Somebody please enlighten me.

I watched the video of that arguement. I thought Elisabeth held her own very well, and backed Rosie into a corner (which is where she belongs.) Elisabeth is not stupid, she’s outnumbered by hate-filled, acid-spewing loudmouths. I cannot believe she has stayed with that group for as long as she has.
I agree. I can’t believe Rosie is acting like the victim and people are falling for it. She’s had Elizabeth on the verge of tears time after time and the one time Elizabeth stands up for herself Rosie is pulling this. Every few hours Rosie is posting enigmatic poems on her site and is hinting about not coming back to the View. We’ll see. I don’t watch it but keep up with what’s being said on the blogs.

What’s funny is that Ruh-Ro is such a loudmouth bully, that she’s constantly got Lame-o Liz on the verge of tears, but the ONE TIME Elisabeth gets the cajones to even moderately fight back (and that girl is still a lightweight at best), why, Big Bad Lesbo is blubbering (so to speak) cause Liz was mean to her!
