Dan Rather's CBS Producer Mary Mapes: Speaker on The Nation Magazine Cruise
News Busters ^ | May 24, 2007 | Tim Graham

Posted on 05/24/2007 9:29:13 PM PDT by Baynative

Put aside for a minute the chuckles over a leftist magazine, dedicated to the poor of the earth and the worship of Mother Earth, holding a cruise for the rich on a big, polluting cruise ship. Guess who's coming to dinner on The Nation's Tenth Annual Seminar Cruise? Mary Mapes, touted on the Nation Cruise website as the "Peabody Award Winning Former CBS News Producer." It should read: "Phony Document Specialist/Celebrated Smearer of Bush's National Guard Record."

Mary Mapes = another loser (yes I speeled that rite, not as "looser" ... FReepers, please take note)

It's kinda fun when the not-so-elite get themselves all into a tizzy when they attempt to take down a sitting President with not-so-real 'evidence', and then whine and scream when their fraud is caught.

Hail to the Pajamadeeham :)

I wonder if they are aware that they might accidentally hit some endangered animal(especially with the boat’s propellers) or pollute the ocean while in Alaska, afterall they are the same ones who don’t want us drilling in ANWR.

"$8600 pp on HAL, get out of here."

That's $8611, mister.
You didn't include the $11 charge for the carbon offset.

Why do I immediately think of the X-Files episode where they were on a ship in the Bermuda Triangle and went back in time to WWII? Oh, yeah, these people are living in a fantasy.

The Inside Passage deserves better. Though all of those nutbars on one floating vessel could be a nice, hypothetical, test for shoulder-fired thingies.

Avoid the Orcas, however - they’re gorgeous and likely have different voting patterns than the limo libs on that floating TB ward.

I’d rather sail on Charon’s ferry - at least the Hell would be outside the boat.

Why aren’t these people going on an American flagged
cruise ship. We have two NCL’s ships operating in Hawaii.
I am sure every Nation reader knows about the working conditions of third world wage slaves (sarcasm)on ships like the one they are going on.
Oh and by the way the American ships are unionized; the one the Nation people are going on is not. Why would they choose a non union crewed ship over a ship with crews who belong to unions?

Puts me in mind of Mark Twain's quip, "Judging from the reports available to me, I'd choose Heaven for the climate and Hell for the conversation."

Can you imagine being trapped on cruise with thousands of the most crashing bores in the world?

Side bet: the National Review cruise passengers are a whole lot less difficult and better tippers than this mob.

There’s a good sum of money to be made by someone with the ambition to create a mockumentary of this voyage consisting of a series of interviews with the passengers. It might be entitled, “Ship of Tools”.

A great example of how the liberal mind works here.

They highlight a woman whose career crashed and burned because she faked a news story in a vain attempt at influencing a national election cycle, and liberals want to wine and dine with her?

You can’t make this stuff up, folks.
