BERGER'S ETERNAL SECRET
May 27, 2007 -- It now looks like the American people will never learn how - and why - Bill Clinton's national security adviser, Sandy "Sticky Fingers" Berger, stole and destroyed classified documents from the National Archives.
That's because Berger - in a significant, but little-noticed, move - has short-circuited the last investigation into his sordid little burglary. As Byron York reports at National Review Online, Berger last week voluntarily surrendered his law license. Now, that's hardly as serious a step as it sounds, since - as Berger freely admitted - "I have not [practiced law] for 15 years and do not envision returning to the profession."
What it does, however, is prematurely end an investigation by the District of Columbia Bar Association into Berger's confessed thievery. It also means that details of the probe, which would have been made public, now remain sealed.
So much for the public's right to know.

As York notes, a report from the Bar Association says that Berger "acknowledges that the material facts on which the allegations of misconduct are predicated are true" - and that he "could not successfully defend against them."
But just what they are, we'll never know. Score one for Mr. Happy Pants.

Making calls I can understand if he left the room and the documents, but if he was reviewing materials in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facitity (where such docs are usually opened), then he should not have had a phone with him to receive calls. Something just doesn't ring true.
What seems to escape everyone is that it was a letter prepared by Bill Clinton on April 12, 2002 and received at Archives that authorized Berger to act as an agent on his behalf in review of documents dealing with Al Qaeda and Sudan. Specific documents on those subjects were pulled and given to Berger. In sum, Clinton used Berger to hide his previous unwillingness to bring Bin Laden to trial in the USA or to do anything serious about the Sudan’s involvement in global terrorism.
I wonder if Sandy Berger really expects to die of natural causes.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Bush administration is infested with the same radical secularist empire-builders that polluted the Clinton administration.
Betcha Clinton’s gettting a pice of berger’s global business, too.
It’s unnerving to read Clinton actually put this creep berger in a position to steal US national security documents——————AND reports that lowlife berger was a “workaholic,” that he worked late at night and could be seen surrounded with classified documents.
Workaholic my Aunt Tilly——this opportunistic creep was stealing stuff left and right-—— a looksee at berger’s emails and phone calls while at the Clinton WH would prove qute interesting.

Its not a secret. Hillary put him up to it, to hide comments that she put in the margins of Cabinet Documents.
