The actual degree of Barker's own criminality is in doubt. However, she did likely know of the gang's activities and helped them before and after they committed their crimes and, of course, as C. Lotower notes in his popular criminal law treatise of NCCU Law fame, this would make her an accomplice. There is no evidence that she was ever an active participant in any of the crimes themselves or involved in planning them. Yes, and he lost his position as Defence Minister, as Prime Minister the first that didn't hold both posts due to his inaction, because he didn't go in and kill the Christian Arabs who were killing the Muslim Arabs.

Had he attacked Israel's Phalange allies, I'm sure the world would have considered him one of the good guys.

The good news, not as many Christians left in Lebanon, none armed, they complied with the withdrawl provisions of the Reagan Administration.

It once pretty much was. Then the Nazies overreached... a bit. Well OK a lot. Since then it's been "Never Again", and the Israeli Defense Forces are second to none, other than in size. Like Switzerland, Israel doesn't so much have an Army, as it *is* an Army. They do have a problem with left wing politicians, and a certain faction in their populace that seems to want to go back to the "Good Old Days", of being slaughtered.

I think everyone should be held to the standard that killing innocent people is wrong and outrageous. Don't you?

As far as different degrees of outrage, we expect more from Israel (and ourselves) because they (we) are the GOOD GUYS. Innocent Palestinians in this refugee camp are being killed by Syrian backed terrorists. I think there should be more outrage now. Innocent people are being killed by terrorists and all some people see is an opportunity to complain that Israel is treated unfairly in the press (which it is, I agree).

We're supposedly fighting a war on terror... why aren't we helping the legitimate Lebanese government wipe out these terrorists? These are the same people who killed HUNDREDS of Marines back in the 80's, if you recall.

We are. I don't disagree with us helping Lebanon; I do disagree with the world -- except Pres. Bush -- bashing Israel while not bashing Lebanon for doing the same.

Btw... those terrorists Israel was fighting last year (and will probably soon fight again) are from the same terrorist group that blew up our Marine barracks and torture/beat Robert Stetham to death.
