Considering that "voting for a Mormon" was a moot issue from the outset
- Al is not going to vote for ANY Republican - he is at the least guilty of being an obnoxious jerk with no respect for the political system OR common courtesy.
(Don't ask me where the other stuff came from, I'm still one pace away from typewriters)

Michaud later told reporters he was not "a right-winger," alluding to some evangelical Christians who have compared Romney's faith to a cult. Instead, Michaud stated he was "a liberal." I think he's just an ass.

I still say that a man of Romney’s character and knowledge would be good for the White House.
I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: I live among Mormons, and they are great people. By far, they are the best neighbors I’ve ever had, and I’ve lived in many places. They are, for the most part, very clean-living, honest people and their religion puts mine in the shade as far as being family- and community-minded people.

""I'm one person who will not vote for a Mormon,""
Because of family values not because of theology...

If that were the case he could have just said no I dont agree with you and shook his hand.
I wont vote for Mitt because he is a RINO. I also don't think he is a Christian (and that has nothing to do with my vote). But if I was out to lunch and he was there I would be polite enough to tall him I disagree with him and shake his hand.

Mitt is soft on illegal immigration, has flip-flopped on abortion and in general flows with the tide of public opinion. Real Conservatives will stand up for what's right and defend the Constitution of the United States of America with all their might.
You want a couple of good examples of "real Conservatives?" Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter are "Conservatives" but no one in the media will give them the airtime Hannity gives the liberal Rudy Giuliani and the moderate (
liberal in sheep's clothing) Mitt Romney.
This nation is doomed. People don't have the guts of the values to elect another Conservative president. A president like Ronald Reagan for example.
Kick back folks and watch. Rome's burning right before your eyes.

I can verify that Romney most definitely IS a Christian!

Romney is anything but a liberal.
To: DManA
If Hillary engaged me I would tell her I think she is wrong on dozens of issues and would be bad for the nation. If she ask to shake my hand I probably would be polite. What I would not do is launch into ‘I wont vote for a woman’ tirade to get attention.

Notice how the media only “reports” these stories, without their usual commentary designed to give the candidate a boost? Couldn’t be because he’s a Republican, could it?
To: Reaganesque
"I'm one person who will not vote for a Mormon," Al Michaud of Dover shouted at Romney
Al Michaud, you are a close-minded idiot. I don't want you voting for Romney, Al. Vote for your hero, Hillary.
To: WaterWheeler
He does not believe in the trinity or that Jesus and God are one being. He believes many things which counter Christianity. Im sure he is a great guy and good to his family as many many Mormons are but that does not a Christian make.

What a poorly written headline.
Makes it sound like their issue was not his religion, but his choice of state.
To: Leftism is Mentally Deranged
I know one thing.
Romney’s religion is gonna cause a lot of infighting on FR.
To: N3WBI3
How do you know those things?
To: SlapHappyPappy
Yeah, I wouldn’t accept religious training from Mitt beacuse of his Mormonism, but his family values could improve the public discourse and perhaps raise the goodness quotiet in America. That would frost the irrational liberals and that’s a good thing right there!

I think that, to be a bonafide Christian, one follows the teachings of Jesus. Mormons do, and the little ins and outs of their religion do not make them un-Christian.
QUOTIENT ... what a maroon. Need coffee, more coffee.
