The United States government is on the verge of approving a mass amnesty to millions of illegal aliens a plan pushed aggressively by meddling Mexican officials who reap billions of dollars in remittances (illegal aliens' earnings sent back to Mexico) without having to lift a finger to clean up their own country.
And the thanks we get? Internationally televised public humiliation.
On Monday night, the beautiful young woman who represented America in the Miss Universe pageant was booed and mocked as she competed on stage in Mexico City. Rachel Smith, 22, did her best to respond with grace and dignity during the Top Five finalists' interview segment as the audience disrupted the event.
As soon as co-host Vanessa Minnillo invited Miss USA to pick a judge's name from a bowl of index cards, widespread howls broke out at the mere mention of "USA." The verbal derision continued as judge Tony Romo asked Smith to pick one moment in her life she would relive.
Definitely not this one.
Smith soldiered through her answer, describing an educational trip to South Africa. Catcalls and whistles nearly drowned out Smith's reply until she wrapped up with " Buenos noches, Mexico. "
I wouldn't have been so polite.
None of Miss USA's fellow Americans participating in the interview segment neither Minnillo, nor macho co-host Mario Lopez, nor the dashing Romo came to Smith's defense. Instead, Minnillo pleaded briefly with the unruly mob: "Okay, una momento, por favor. " Lopez stood mute with a dumb grin on his dimpled face. Pathetic.

too bad our side is so pathetic when it comes to propaganda. The video of this should be put to good use.
It’s been said before, but it’s worth repeating the thought:
Mexicans don’t like the USA. Not only that, Mexicans don’t understand that they are responsible for Mexico being a miserable, corrupt, third world country.
Mexicans will come to a place they hate, (USA), and attempt to turn it into the place they came from, (Mexico).
I cannot forgive GWB for this. Our children will know a far weaker, and far less inviting America.
That’s the way to get Americans to support amnesty. Act like ill-mannered broods. /sarc
I fear the only way to settle this hostility that Mexicans have towards us is for us to simply and decisively KICK THEIR BUTTS on the battle field, once and for all. Once we’ve opened a six-pack of Jack Bauer on them, they will finally recognize that we are not the fat, lazy Americans that they think we are.
I know. It won’t happen but I can dream.
I remember the event. too bad Jorge and John McCrazie don’t.
http://www.blackfive.net/main/2004/02/mexicans_chant_.html
saw this on Fox last night. This via USA Today:
The jeers from the crowd of 60,000 and the chants of “Osama, Osama, Osama” quieted Tuesday night when Mexico took control of the Olympic qualifying game against the USA at Estadio Jalisco.
The article goes on to suggest that this tactic was employed intentionally to demoralize and defeat the US Soccer team (which lost it’s Olympic bid to Mexico). I understand the fervor of Soccer/Football fans around the world. I’ve been to Manchester United matches. I have seen the absolute insanity of soccer fans.
However, I do not excuse the behavior of Mexican fans based on the thousands of them consciously planning out a strategic stunt to help their team win. Come on, people. This is due to the Mexican government’s stance on the Iraq War.
If this was such a harmless stunt, why has there been NO apology. By anyone

The treatment our contestant received was shameless. Hopefully, it will outrage enough Americans to stop the current Amnesty bill.
I think we do need a bill, and it needs to do more than border enforcement. I think we can’t ignore the hatred Mexico has for us, and it will be bad if we have a large, oil-rich country on our border with a government that actively opposes us. I think the Bush administration has taken that into consideration when pushing this bill. I think they believe this is a national security issue, and that they don’t want to make another outright enemy.
But I think there is no appeasing people. And we need to do what is right. And this bill is wrong. Even if it did exactly what they promised it would do, it wasn’t good enough, and it’s clear it doesn’t do half of what they promise.
When we contact our senators and reps this week, we should reference this treatment by Miss America and ask this question:
Do we want americans booed in our OWN sports stadiums? Because if we let 12 million illegals who came here because we “owed them jobs” because we “stole their land”, those 12 million WILL come out of the “shadows”, they will show up publicly at our sports and other events, and they WILL show the same contempt for our country as those in Mexico.
We need an immigration plan that filters out all those who don’t love america. I want immigrants who are sick of THEIR country and love OUR country. I don’t want immigrants who are “sick” of what OUR country DID to their country, and want to be “repaid” for the harm we did.
And I certainly don’t want to be booed, or for my child to have to know Spanish to get a job at the local burger joint.
I’m still on the fence about whether I don’t want Mexico taking back california and new mexico :-)
Fallout from the actions of our leaders, their unwillingness to defend our American interests continues to reap bitter rewards..
Booing a young girl representing America in something as silly as a beauty contest.. Serves only as further proof.

I read this statement:
"One Mexican fan told the Christian Science Monitor: "'Every schoolboy knows about 1848. . . . When they robbed our territory,' referring to when Texas, California and New Mexico were annexed to the U.S. as part of a peace treaty ending the war between the two countries, 'that was the beginning.'"
and realized it sounds very much like the Palestinians still crying after all these years about land they lost in a war. How many lands have been lost over the thousands of years of war? I say, Get over it.
It’s envy and jealousy of the United Stated.
What was that statement of profound ignorance once uttered?
“Family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande.”
They don’t care.

FRONT PAGE OF LOS ANGELES TIMES -- MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1998
Anticipating the uproar over the Mexican outrage, the L.A. Times put the American Flag on the front page.
The message was, "look folks, they love the good 'ole U.S.A.!"
Bull***
VCT note: A member of VCT was at this game. He is extremely reliable. He said that he was doused with urine, as was the U.S. Marine band.

SOCCER
What's Needed Is Some Civility
Last Sunday I took my son to the Coliseum for what I thought would be a great opportunity to witness soccer at its best. What we witnessed instead was a shameful display of hooliganism, vulgarity and disrespect. Never had I been so ashamed to be a Mexican-American.
My son and I were pelted with beer, soda and God knows what else for having had the temerity to display an American flag and cheer for our team. I watched with dread as I saw my son's eyes filled with confusion at the disrespect displayed while our national anthem was played even though we stood at attention for the Mexican anthem.
I was further saddened to have him witness the physical and verbal abuse heaped on Team USA by the "fans." I was speechless after the game when my son asked . . . why? On behalf of all Mexican-Americans who were there, I apologize to those abused, including Preki, Wynalda, et al. But most of all I apologize to my son.
That's not the way it's supposed to be.
FRANK RODRIGUEZ Covina
Reminded me of this 2001 WND column...
Worth repeating.
That’s not the way it’s supposed to be.

That is probably the understatement of the day.
Sorry about the experience you had with your son.
I took my daughter and two of her friends to a yankee game, had a great time.
Except for the $9 beer in a plastic bottle and $4.50 for a bottle of water.
Politically correct has been forced down our throats, bashed over our heads, until we’ve been subdued into believing we have no voice left.
The Mexican government can’t even take care of what they have, what would they do with California, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona? Turn it into a third world dump also is what.
Ha...I see I’m not far off.
thanks
I have heard people say we should just give them their land back and be done with it. I assume you meant this as a joke but I've talked to those who truly believe we should. How many months/years would it take for them to turn it into a third world ****hole like mexico is now? How long before they begin flooding over the "new" border for jobs? How long before the British and the Indians decide they want "their" territories back?
Actually, I think if you check out the link in #17 you’ll see there is a totally different agenda than those that simply come looking for work.
All you have to do is look at the “Answer.org” signs at these protests to know the communist are involved.
We need to keep those who are seeking a better life from those who wish to conquer us. IMO, there are two problems, illegals and the communist party.
The real reason for the Mexican War is that Polk wanted to buy California and Mexico wouldn't sell...but the Mexicans would have never been able to hold California after the great influx of people following the discovery of gold (Jan. 24, 1848). Just 12 years later, in the 1860 census, California had almost 400,000 people. No way they would have put up with the corrupt rule of Mexico.
Thanks for clarity.
“Politically correct has been forced down our throats, bashed over our heads, until weve been subdued into believing we have no voice left.”
I believe the common person has no voice. I’m sure of it. Call your congress person sometime. If you aren’t wealthy, you don’t matter. The only thing that needs to be done is resolve this pesky issue of elections. It’s such a bother that a bunch of nobodies can upset the apple cart.
Electronic voting with no paper trail. Any reasonable person sees that as a disaster, and yet it’s still being persued. Hmmmmm.
Would love to have seen her flash a big smile, wave, and finish with a happily-spoken “Get bent, Mexican pigs!”.
WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!
Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them.
I don’t know about Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico but alot of California is already a third world dump.
GWBush is Doing the Damage to America that Americans Won’t Do.
" it needs to do more than border enforcement."
Which is another squishy rationale for amnesty. You deserve credit for being a dedicated open border bot who won't give up. Do you work for Tony Snow?
In Texas any area that depends on manual labor either is or fast becoming that also. If you have packing plants, feedlots, farming, then you have these same problems.
It’s astounding the arrogance of these people. They want something from us, yet they boo us, demonstrate in our streets, stomp on our flag, etc. I hope their arrogance is their eventual undoing as Americans’ patience wears more and more thin.
I have an idea, lets let them invade our borders so they can spit on all of us.

Shoot back ????
Mexicans will come to a place they hate, (USA), and attempt to turn it into the place they came from, (Mexico).
I cannot forgive GWB for this. Our children will know a far weaker, and far less inviting America.
Even worse than that. Our children and grand children for generations to come will live through horrible race riots. Especially here in the southwest. NM, for example, already has 48% legal Hispanics, who, btw are very opposed to this shamnesty. Once they are granted amnesty, it's going to tip our slight edge to being on bottom. As we've seen, they stick together. Can't you just imagine when they want something that the government doesn't want to give them? They will take to the streets and DEMAND things. We're going to be a carbon copy of what Mexico is right now. A land full of violence and poverty.
Some news shows showed her “trip” but not the booing...tell me what do you think THEIR agenda is?
I beg to differ. I'm in Southern California...it WILL be within our lifetime.
Shoot back ????
Locked and loaded my man.

Got your back !
No, I don’t work for Tony Snow.
I’m for amnesty for anybody here already for a long time (5 years) who has assimilated, knows english, and has already HELD a job and not gotten into trouble, and has paid their taxes and loves america, and hasn’t collected welfare.
Yes, they committed a crime. My rationale is that if you have essentially lived here that long holding a job and living a “normal” life, it’s kind of because our country treated your crime like no big deal — just like we turn a blind eye to other technical infractions. Sure we could prosecute them all, but since we are going to have immigrants anyway, and these have proven to be the kind we want, why throw them away.
IN some ways you could consider it “squatters rule”, like where someone could live on your land and if they did it long enough it was theirs, because you never complained and therefore “aquiesced” by your silence.
I think it’s hard to argue that if a guy has been here a decade, owns his own firm, a house, has an SS number, pays taxes, his kids are in school, he’s on the PTA, that we haven’t essentially “acquiesced” to his presence.
I know you and I didn’t do so personally, but our government did. Anyway, I don’t think there’s a majority that meet this criteria, and it would be a bargain for us if it mean that we got rid of the 6-10 million who hate america or are mooching off of us and don’t learn english.
For those I let stay, they would still wait behind everybody else for ANY other privileges. but yes I would essentially have given them the right to be in america AHEAD of others. Not that it has a practical application — they already have been living here for years anyway, so I’m just acknowledging the status quo.
If we instead decided to deport them all, we’d probably get rid of 6-10 million about as fast, but the FIRST ones we’d catch would be the least problematic ones, and the ones that were left would be the really bad ones who can hide.
Since I don’t think we’ll get rid of 12 million over the course of my lifetime, I’m thinking let’s select which of the 12 million we don’t remove based on criteria that benefit US, not them.
I hate the senate bill for many reasons. It isn’t nearly as restrictive as my plan is, and because of that, my plan doesn’t have a chance. But I’m convinced my plan would be acceptable to a large majority of americans, would be the least disruptive to our economy, would punish those who are more deserving and give leniency to those who have “done the best” to be good americans, and would resonate better with those who feel “sympathy” to the cause of the illegals.
I know that is not the goal of most people here, which is fine, but I’ll keep arguing for my position, amnesty though it may be.
Yep, just another trading partner...
I’d deport them all, but you plan actually does sound worthy of consideration. Unfortunately, we are stuck with the stinker in the Senate, which would both legalize nearly all of the illegals AND oppress employers AND impose the National ID act on workers AND even impose a form of gun control (reworking the definition of an “armed gang”). So the best bet is to take the stinker down!
You're part of the problem. With any justice your own neighborhood will soon look like parts of southern California.
Agree to anything that doesn’t remove the illegal population and you can be assured that you will soon have the problems that afflict California.
Anything short of that is sending a message understood clearly outside of this country- America has no intention of enforcing any immigration law. Just get here and you will qualify for the next amnesty.
Another problem, low birth rate. It is time for the Men and Women of America to do their patriotic duty. Get busy.
