Moby Says God Destroys Republicans (Spouts Out On Evangelicals, Bush Gone Hippy? & Thompson)

Moby is nuts ! Or is he ?

Moby 'believes' God destroys American Republicans with natural disasters. The musician - who is a staunch Democrat - is enraged by who suggest hurricanes and earthquakes are sent by God to destroy sinners, and has come up with a new theory about why the tragedies might occur.

Moby wrote on his personal website: "You know how the religious right will every now and then say that some natural disasters - hurricanes, earthquakes, etc - happen because God is angry at secular sinners?"I mean, personally, I tend to think that things like hurricanes and tornadoes happen for non-anthropocentric reasons and are, actually, just examples of extreme and arbitrary weather."But if natural disasters are, as the evangelicals maintain, a sign of God's wrath, then what does it mean that 90 per cent of the damage caused by tornadoes and hurricanes in the US happen in right-wing, Republican states that are heavily populated by evangelicals?

"Again, I'm of the 'weather tends to happen because of climatological factors' school of thought."But the evangelicals have on plenty of occasions tried to maintain that natural disasters are the products of God's wrath. For example, they said that Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans because New Orleans was hosting a gay pride weekend.

"I'm not making light of the damage done by natural disasters in the US, I'm just trying to point out another small logical inconsistency on the part of our evangelical pals."

The young things who frequent picture palaces
Have no time for psychoanalysis,
And though Dr. Freud
Is distinctly annoyed,
They still cling to their long-standing fallacies.

Back in the day I was a techno musician - I opened for him once.

He was kinda smelly and very weird, on a personal level.

As with Carlos Santana, I’ve learned to completely ignore the liberal rants and just enjoy the good music.

I just got the pun in your name... funny! But Moby, Dolby, Obie Won Ken Obie is just an attention seeker with one ok song under his belt, certainly not the next Milton, Hemingway or Bowie. The man is well connected with lineage back to Melville and God will certainly destroy him calm weather or not. God really hates one hit wonders, especially techno & trance...

Had first discovered FR, several years, before a dentist appointment. Was staring at the ceiling in the dentist chair pondering a name, started searching the hidden objects, (probaby teeth) in a child's poster on the ceiling used to distract attention from the Power Tools the Dentist uses..decay was appropriate just needed a little "filling" in.

Then appeared as a t-shirt last year on some Liberal site and on a billboard on some news photographed church.

The fact that even a clown as clueless as this ‘Moby’ character now has Thompson on his radar screen is good news!

Because DemoRats and Liberals tend to thrive in dark, dank areas free of the cleansing wind and sunshine.....

What do Moby and Rosie O’Donnell have against capital letters and punctuation?

We haven't heard original material from Eminem for years. I suspect that the reason is that he got all his years of pent-up angst about his childhood out already, and has gotten tired of slamming critics, who now adore him. He's got a freakin' Oscar and more money than he can likely spend. There's been little to stoke the fire in his belly.

As for Moby? In the words of Paul Simon, "He's a one-trick pony/one trick is all that horse can do..." Play was an innovative bit of genre-mixing, but he's not as good at it as, say, Fatboy Slim. But he does a great guitar solo in "South Side," reminiscent of Elliott Randall's wizardry on Steely Dan's "Reeling In The Years."

Well, since 90% of the country’s square acreage is non-urban, it would make sense that 90% of natural disasters would occur there. And since cities are very blue and everywhere else is red in comparison, why should this be a mystery?

I was just thinking about Moby the other day and the time almost every board troll was called that here on many posts. Freepers would ask the troll;
"Is that you Moby?"
But it’s been years since I’ve seen anyone here do it, also showing how unimportant he is now.

A governor can request money over an above average few days of spring rain/snow melt day flooding..I shake my head when the governor in my blue state declares our state a national emergency..few days without power because the privately owned power company stations(some) have not been updated in years after being sold off to other states piece meal ownership..he declares it an emergency and wants money from the government..or man power as the workers (who won't return) when the power company laid off so many to cut their company costs, tree cutting around lines not tended to..then they have to bring in workers from Canada or other states.

Misuse of comprising data for the chart, at least in my blue state. How much of the data provided is actually a TRUE national emergency? I wonder.
