Fred Barnes became a non-entity a long while ago, where conservative causes and values are concerned. That’s just my opinion.

Anything that’s supposed to “appeal” to conservatives in this bill suffers from one major, and fatal, flaw. Conservatives know damn well those provisions will never be enforced. They aren’t even being enforced now!!!

Whats to like? NOTHING.
We’d be fools to assume that the “beefed-up security” would be implemented. At best, the current regime (and the coming Democrat one...) would show the same enthusiam they have show for the fence. Same thing for the “trigger.”

I have a better idea. Defend the southern border. Then everything else can go on the table. With the Federale’s history of picking and chosing what parts of a bill to enforce, the last thing we need is “comprehensive” reform.
