I don't understand the policy, but rather that I don't understand why he sometimes chooses the policies that he does.

These are not just mere policies, these are country killing actions or plans that will change the course and direction of this country.

Why would anyone chart such and ill fated course for the greatest country on earth?

How the Bush White House has let down conservatives:

Most of Clinton’s Executive Orders have not been cancelled.

Few Clinton officeholders prosecuted. Sandy Berger, March 2005, just barely. WHY? It seems the Bush administration bends over backward to avoid placing its predecessor in a negative light. Remember how it buried the trashing of the White House by outgoing Clinton personnel?”

Bush is not perfect. From the budget to Powell to judges to Medicare expansion to Campaign finance “reform” signing, I expect more from him. That phrase *compassionate conservative* just gets me. How compassionate are you if you are spending the taxpayer’s dollar? (actually 500 billion more than you have, in deficit spending) How conservative are you if you give away the rule of law and open your own borders?

August 2001 - Actually proposes amnesty for Illegal Immigrants (!!)

9/11/01 - Radical Muslims kill peaceful Americans. Failure by FBI, CIA, etc. to defend America. What little information was known was not passed on. Has anybody been held accountable?

9/01 - President Bush says, “Islam is a religion of Peace”. Claims Allah is the same as the God of Christianity.

9/01 - Proposes a cabinet level office of Homeland Security, which just shifts around the deck chairs.

10/01 - Anthrax mailed in letters, and STILL no prosecutions.

Failure to catch Osama bin Laden, and few top officials of Al Qaeda.

Winter 2001/02 - Opposed, then caved, on federalizing airport security

Opposed arming airline pilots. Increasing airport security searches of 80-year-old grandmothers and 5-year-old girls. But profiling - that’s bad!

Continual failure to reform the FBI, INS and Border Patrol. Has anybody been held accountable?

Signs Ted Kennedy’s education bill which puts even more federal money into local education. Solidifies (and gives Republican approval of ) the Dept. of Education, reversing 20 years of Republican opposition to this federal department.

Pushing for a prescription drug plan for seniors, a budget-buster of the first rank. How much will that cost? Endorses massive new entitlements for mental health care and prescription drugs.

2/02 - Hullabaloo over Enron, but has the US Govt. been audited?

3/02 - Imposes steel tariffs, and earlier, lumber tariffs.

3/02 - Failure to strongly advocate Judge Pinkerton. Continual failure to push for judicial nominees who are conservative, including Judge Crooks from Wisconsin.

3/02 - Signs Campaign Finance “Reform” bill which he opposed as a candidate. This is a bill to regulate political speech.

3/02 - Bush’s EPA requests that RFGas be extended. (and a federal court agrees)

4/02 - Who’s going to die as we give Arafat his 35th chance? Let Israel take care of terrorists. If we hold Israel back, how can we even fight terrorism? What truly is the American policy on terrorism? The State Dept. version, or the Dept. of Defense version, or ??

4/02 - Signed an enlarged farm bill, an obvious budget-buster.

EPA lets loose a report on global warming, which he has to publicly distance himself from the next day. Who is minding the store? Has anybody been held accountable?

Budget deficits as far as the eye can see. Spending actually increasing under Bush and the House Republicans compared to spending under Clinton.

6/02 - Watch out Americans! No one is safe. Terrorists could strike any minute. Watch and report all suspicious activities. Absurd pronouncements about duct-taping your house from Dept. of Heimat Security.

6/02 - WorldCom - How many federal prosecutions of corporate CEOs for accounting fraud have there been? If you lie to the feds, that is a crime. Make off with millions, and sometimes billions, nothing. Meanwhile, has the US Govt. been audited yet?

7/02 - Advocated a new program (during a visit to Milwaukee) to help poor people with down payments on homes. How much will this cost?

7/02 - Israel kills the leader of Hamas, a notorious terrorist organization. Bush condemns this because civilians are also killed.

8/02 - Goes on overly-long vacation in Texas, while Congress is away. Wouldn’t August be the best time to use the bully pulpit to advocate his policies? What are his policies?

8/02 - Supports US Treasury bailout of Uruguay, and IMF bailout of Brazil. Opposed bailouts during his campaign.

Our long-term policy on Afghanistan is never made clear. Do we occupy it (or base troops there) forever? Opposed “nation-building” during his campaign.

Little or no pressure on Senate DemocRats to approve judges. No bully pulpit at all on this.

6/03 - Tax refunds for non-taxpayers.

6/03 - prescription drug welfare to seniors. OK, we get Medical Savings Accounts, but at what cost? Working with the Democrats got us this bill. Proposed cost: $400 billion over 10 years. Estimated unfunded price tag: $7 trillion (over ?? years)

Three months later: Estimated cost of prescription drug welfare to seniors jumps to over $600 billion. How much will the estimate be next year?

8/03 - Proposed a federal program to upgrade private utilities powerlines.

1/04 - AGAIN proposed an amnesty program for illegal aliens to make them “guest workers” (Gastarbeiter)

1/04 - Proposed eventually spending HUNDREDS of BILLIONS on a new mission to Mars. Is there ANYTHING Bush will not spend money on??

7/04 - The Bush administration announced yet ANOTHER new government program on Wednesday, this one to train parents to teach their kids that drugs are bad (duh). The new “Parent Corps” program will be started with $4.2 million of your money coming from the same government agency which funds Bill Clinton’s “paid volunteer” program, Americorps. Aside from the fact that there is no constitutional authority for the feds to get involved in this, does anyone doubt for a minute that this program’s cost will do anything but INCREASE dramatically over the coming years? “Compassionate conservatism” is driving us to the poor house. -Chuck Muth.

November 2006 - Fires Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld *the day after* the November fall elections, where the Republicans lost badly. Rumsfeld had been a lightning rod throughout the campaign. Why now? Had a new Secretary of Defense ALREADY WAITING. Almost seemed gleeful when faced with the prospect of working with Democrats in Congress.

6/07 - Proposes to double the funding to fight AIDS in Africa.

6/07 - Changes policy regarding global warming.

6/07 - Working with Senate Democrats and Republicans on a “comprehensive” bill regarding illegal aliens. Longer than the Bible, the text of the bill is hidden, and there are attempts to ram it through the Congress with not much debate. Bill provides for amnesty for aliens. Par for the course for G.W. “Guest Worker” Bush.
