From your blog article:

If King and WND have their numbers correct, that would mean that illegals commit 26.2% of all murders in the US. However, they only comprise less than 7% of the American population, even if one accepts the figure of 20 million illegals here now. Doesn't that seem just a bit strange to anyone?

If they are committing crimes at a higher rate it wouldn't seem so strange. That's the flaw in his logic.

Whew- who ever thought it would come to this? Howie really nails it- and I hate it that he’s right.

Over at The Corner, Kathryn Jean Lopez calls is Bush Estrangment Syndrome...

My BDS is very deep. There’s nothing El Presidente Jorge could do to regain my trust at this point. If he were to announce that he was abandoning the Immigration bill today, I still would never ever trust him again, and I still would never vote for any member of his family for anything (I voted for Jeb 3 times and would have voted for him again).

The truth hurts. Especially here on FR.

I am proud that the truth has finally surfaced.

I have BDS.....and it gets worse everyday...

I also suffer from BDS. My first seizure was during the Harriet Myers nomination. Then it flared up again with the Dubai Ports deal. But for the last couple of weeks, it has become a full blown attack. I’m doubting it will ever go back into remission. It’s incurable.

As for Bush and his selling out on the borders, I can think of two sources that have been all over this issue for a long time - Lou Dobbs and WorldNetDaily. I know a lot of Freepers hate Dobbs and WND, but they sure look like they had this one pegged.

Ironically, since FoxNews is owned globalist Rupert Murdoch, CNN’s Dobbs is the most mainstream guy out there connecting all of the dots.

Me, too.

Question... how do the RATS feel about GWB these days? I’ve been of the opinion that a vast majority of the American public (and that includes the democrats) favors closing the borders and does not favor Jorge’s amnesty bill - however, I realize that I don’t KNOW that.

So what’s the buzz over at DU? Are we and the moonbats on the same side, for once? Or is GWB their new-found hero?

” They see Michael Chertoff and think “bearded little weasel.”

Wasn't Chertoff a Clintonov fed prosecutor appointee (in NJ!). Highly questionable pedigree IMHO.

Sadly he appears to be an aids patient in the final stages.

Same here ( except Jeb is one state away... )-- the trust ( which took a beating during incidents others just mentioned ) is long gone.

I can't wait for the whole crew up in DC to become history.

buenos dias!

I too, am an extreme sufferer of BDS....

el presidente jorge (Guest Worker) bush is intent on destroying the GOP and more importantly the USA...

after loyal support for both of his elections/support for his tax cuts/Iraq and the ar on terrorism....he has turned his back on his constituency in order to bow at the feet of ted kennedy and all the lib/dems that see the illegals as a new base to regain power and maintain the power idefinitely.

BDS...yes...I’ve got it...and even impeachment won’t cure it!!!!

The river of history takes curious turns doesn't it? 9/11 was something which rallied us as a nation because of the obvious threat to us all. I haven't wavered on supporting President Bush because of it. But, curiously, Republicans lost some close elections in 2006, and just as curiously, most of them quickly conceded. Why? Strange is it not, that Republicans were targeted for prosecutions more so than Democrats before the elections? Strange is it not, that so soon after the elections, this abomination is being forced upon us? And now conveniently, we may not have enough Republicans to stand up against a President who says the citizens of this nation: “don’t want to do what’s right for America.” What a horrid, ghastly thing to say!

Fast forward to the present and we have the makings of a political 9/11, in the form of a betrayal of Republicans who trusted their President and their party. And I mean this in the strongest sense, this attempt at "reform" can have destructive consequences far in excess of what happened on 9/11. (Note too it is cynical slap in the face of the immigrants who followed the rules.)

And here is a point that cannot be emphasized enough. It flatly doesn't matter what is written in the law, and it doesn't matter what the politicians say what the law is, or what they promise it will do. As soon as the Democrats get into power, they will appoint weasel department heads, prosecutors, and judges who will promptly ignore or deliberately fail to enforce the law in order to gain more voters for the Democrats.

This is not immigration reform. It is the deliberate introduction of chaos into American life and there will be no "cost benefit."

1-20-09

I saw one of those stickers on a moonbat's car the other day, and it took me a couple of seconds to figure out.

I guess they also see it as the date of Hillary's coronation.

“...in both elections, W was the lesser of the two
evils...”

Exactly, and this is what chaps me. Our side was thinking about “who will be able to win” rather than “who will uphold and be faithful to conservatism”. We’ve got to stop thinking like that. If we’re going to elect liberals and other socialists, what’s the point of a second party? IMHO, it is better to lose to a liberal than to win with a faux conservative. The lib damages the nation, but the faux conservative damages the nation and destroys the integrity of conservatives. We need to better utilize out primaries.

Do you find yourself calling the president “Jorge”?

Why just the other day I called him "Jorge Boosh".

Its sad because I used to be a big Bushbot and was one of those who was actively involved in campaigning for him. But now, just last week, I actually tossed my Bush/Cheney 2004 bumper sticker in the trash because I had enough.

Its sad because I really like the President and admire him on many things.

A noticeable side effect to BDS; I’m certainly less burdened of bending over backward to support the boob.

I had a bad attack of BDS when they let Sandy Burglar off the hook.

The immigration issue has sent me over the edge--I admit it.

The votes are in the middle and you need them to win.

It sucks, but that is reality.
