A wonderful post...
except this is not Dancing With the Stars!
Thank you though. Excellent form.
I will continue to post things that show that mormonism
differs from Christianity. You can decide to do whatever
you would like to since that is your choice. I’ll do my
best not to interact with you. As a forum courtesy, if I
refer to you directly, I will ping you so that you are
aware someone has mentioned you. I will not ping you,
obviously, on any post that I do not directly refer to
you within.
Sorry this has been so difficult for you to experience
and live through.
Best,
ampu
PS - please no longer feel compelled to respond to my
posts in any manner. Please do not feel compelled to ping
me for any reason. Ever.
PPS - I will go on demonstrating from The Bible and now
using quotes from mormonism books and the cultic leaders
that mormonism is not Christianity.

First: Nope. Once you make a claim in the public arena, it isn’t between you and God anymore. You think you’re a green parrot whatever. You SAY you’re a green parrot, I get to apply tests.
Second: logic/honesty test.
Religion A says there is only one true God
Religion B says there are many true gods
CAN THESE BE VARIATIONS OF THE SAME RELIGION?
There is only one right answer.

Sure, as soon as you admit that we can read the same thing differently and still both be Christians. This is all you folks want??

How many of these "Non Christian" churches do you attack on a regular basis on boards such as this one? Well... whenever one of them puts forth a statement that is non-Biblical, it WILL get 'attacked'; by posting what the Book says.
The differences will be obvious to anyone looking at them.
If the differences have to be 'explained' to show they are REALLY the 'same'.....

The name of the church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" and we believe in Jesus Christ as our savior, our lord. Therefore by definition, we are "Christian" just as the four branches of Buddhism are "Buddhist". The many branches of Islam are Islamist (wahbbi, sunni, etc). That means, if a church's name was "The Church of Jesus Christ of Homosexual Boy Lovers & Car Thieves" that it would fit your definition of a 'Christian Church'?

Begin rant
I may not care about DelphiUser opinions but He is right about the treatment. For I found myself brow beaten by you over my belief in personal revelation just because it differs from your opinion and the “orothodox” view.
Differing points of faith or differing understanding of biblical verse does not mean wrong, bad, evil, contemptuous, to be condemned or mocked for that is the way of the devil.
If you want to state your opinion/faith then state it as such. Matters of religion and faith are personal and should be kept in the realm of personal belief. Both of you need to use more care when you state your opinions. Preface yourself:
I have fatih that ...
I believe ...
I read this verse to mean ...
This will mitigate the attacking tone both of you have claimed the other was using. Do you really want to be treated as you have treated each other?
You both profess to be Christian. At times you act like it. At others ...
DelphiUser and AMorePerfectUnion I thank you for the times you stated things as your belief and faith, instead of the often used forum/blogging alternative of “my perceptions are factual so they must be accepted as such”.
End rant

“I found myself brow beaten by you over my belief in personal revelation just because it differs from your opinion and the orothodox view”
You were not brow beat. I pointed out that personal revelation
is not a substitute for God’s revelation in scripture. It
is not the basis of salvation or faith.
If personal experience becomes the basis of faith, take a
long look around at the other faiths out there who have gone
down that road and then ask, “Why do I think my own experience
is any more valid than theirs?” In the end, if personal
experience is the basis of anyone’s faith, the answer is,
well, they must ALL be right. They all had a personal
experience. This would include the whirling dervishes,
who move a lot more!
If pointing that out makes you feel brow beat, than you
should be on a “closed” confessional thread, perhaps?
I certainly do not wish you to leave this or any other
thread.
best,

Is there some sort of protocol or such regarding a poster insisting they not be addressed or pinged, then pinging and spending an extensive post baiting the poster ordered not to ping him or address his posts?
I was sorry to see needle nose neeley get bannad but I had sent him more than one freepmail regarding the serious possibility of it. It appears that some, when they cannot control the responses of others or silence others, they then become paranoid that perhaps a poster they worked to get banned has somehow slipped back in with or without their permission. Do you need to tell this ******** poster, based on IP addies, that I and Needle Nose Neeley are not the same poster? As for the remainder of the paranoid rantings, the ignore button is working just fine.

You Said: I will continue to post things that show that mormonism differs from Christianity.
So, you are going to continue to post things that I will have to refute, because they are not true, Got it.
You Said: You can decide to do whatever you would like to since that is your choice.
So, I can either allow you to slander my church and myself without protest, or I am the agressor, thanks for allowing me the option. /sarc
You Said: Ill do my best not to interact with you.
If you are going to "Debunk" my religion, we will be interacting.
You Said: As a forum courtesy, if I refer to you directly, I will ping you so that you are aware someone has mentioned you. I will not ping you, obviously, on any post that I do not directly refer to you within
I have never had a problem with your posts, you have always pinged me, and I am not requestiing that you cahnge a thing, except your perspective, grin
You Said: Sorry this has been so difficult for you to experience and live through.
No problem, I've been through worse, and my testimony is just the stronger for it.
Waht was the saying? That which does not kill me merely delays the inevitable, wait, that's not quite right... Oh well, you get the idea.
You Said: PS - please no longer feel compelled to respond to my posts in any manner. Please do not feel compelled to ping me for any reason. Ever.
OK, if you don't post about me or my religion, I will never bother you again, if you post about me or my religion, you can expect me to defend it, your choice.
You Said: PPS - I will go on demonstrating from The Bible and now using quotes from mormonism books and the cultic leaders that mormonism is not Christianity.
Like I saud, your choice. If you atttack my religion, you attack me, no one is forcing you to post.
ampu, I sincerely hope you have a nice life, and that you are truly happy.
May God bless all your days.

Good tag line - I corrected a couple of typos if you want to cut and paste.
I am so pleased with Romney’s campaign. He is letting the verbal cheap shots just roll off his back. He is not distracted by all the negative. That takes a lot of guts and focus. Go, Mitt!

Who are you, and why do you get to apply a test for something you do not own? Jesus is the Lord, he will know his sheep, and he alone can say if I am his or not, again, who are you?
Jesus had some tests, lets see what they are:
Matthew 10:32 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

There is only one right answer.
I never said Mormons were Catholic, or Baptist, or even Orthodox Christians. Mormons are decidedly unorthodox, however, we believe in Jesus Christ, so we are christian.
So people should be more accurate and say we are Unorhtodox, Christians, just stop giving people the idea we worship cows or something, OK?

Yep, for people to stop saying things that are provably untrue, starting with we believe in Jesus Christ, stop saying we don't. I'm not asking you to invite us into some synod or conclave, I don't even insist that you say Hi to me on the street, but stop telling me what I believe, and let me believe it in peace.
That is pretty much all I want, that and some good political discussion
So, who's supporting Fred Thompson, will Duncan be his pick for VP?

Easy, stop calling me a liar, and accept what I say I believe. Stop telling me what I believe in spite of my protestations that that is not what I believe. And lastly, before you or anyone else posts something about a religion on this forum, think about if anyone might just feel Ike you were attacking them, if they could, rephrase it so it's and opinion, and you should be fine.
You asked...

What I see when they are off the front page they don’t see too keen in continuing the theology talk!
Their main purpose is to bate the foolish to play with them to mess with Mitt campaigne.

You fail the honesty test. Further discussion is pointless.
The “how many gods” question is fundamental. The Bible says A, you say B; the faiths are not reconcilable. Say there are 47519 gods if you like, just don’t say you are, in any sense, Christian.
