Simple and to the point -- not a 1,000 page document being debated, but today was the first day when I heard about this when going to Sen Inhofe's site for something else.

Why wasn't this bill any good?

Re-elect Jim Inofe to the US Senate!

I love it — short, to the point, and no one can misinterpret what it says!

I’ve been trying to get people to pay attention to the legislation, but some were too busy pissing and moaning at each other that what the White House had was the BEST!

Why wasn't this bill any good?

Because it's not a complete sellout to businesses who employ cheap illegal foreigners and to La Raza.

Businesses who employ dirt-cheap illegals have an unfair advantage over law-abiding businesses, and are able to pass on much of the hidden costs of the illegals, like healthcare and high crime rates, on to taxpayers.

Great isn’t it! Jim Inhofe is not afraid to speak out and why we have to send him back to the Senate.

Cannot believe I didn’t hear about this before and found it looking for something else I needed from the website. I did a search and couldn’t find it anywhere on here.

BTW, I stopped my monthly to RNC and donating it to Sen Inhofe where it will do some good.

Thanks! I couldn’t find it anywhere on the site with this title. Maybe they will start paying attention now instead of moaning.

Any 1,000 page bill is bad because it leaves room for all kinds of loopholes IMHO.

KISS fits the immigration bill!

I have not seen or read the 1,000 page doc., but I like the idea of basically burning the whole thing in a garbage can and getting back to basics that are simple straightforward, can and will be enforced, that does not set out to punch U.S citizens in the schnoz. If this bill does that, I am all for it.

Inhofe’s ENFORCE - Engaging the Nation to Fight for Our Right to Control Entry -Act (S.1269)

Love the name!

Inhofe and Coburn ... you've got to love being in Oklahoma. Not like Georgia where we've got Chambliss and Isakson posing for pictures on the front page of the papers with Ted Kennedy the day after they cooked up this G'awful mess of an "immigration bill."

Yes it does, and Inhofe is a master at keeping the simple, simple. There was an article posted yesterday, IIRC, about all the problems they're having in Okla with aliens.

· Makes unlawful-presence in the United States a felony.

· Eliminates the practice of granting automatic U.S. citizenship to children born to illegal immigrants in an effort to reduce ‘anchor babies.’

· Establishes penalties for most flagrant employer tax violations—i.e. if an employer willfully files incorrect tax returns, they will be assessed the maximum penalties available.

· Makes it illegal to operate day laborer centers for illegal aliens and to give them unemployment assistance.

· Eliminates in-state tuition benefits for illegal aliens.

Well, there goes half of Austin’s population. I like this.

What bothers me in the last several months that Oklahoma on I-40 has had two major accidents involving illegals and a lot were killed but the OK taxpayer is footing the bill for the care of the ones not killed and have a hunch we are footing the bill for the ones that were.

At least the last bill they said it was illegals right away instead of us waiting over 24 hours to find out.

I am tired of paying my tax dollars for illegal immigrants including the ones on student visas that don’t go home when their visa expires which makes them illegal at that point in time and nothing is done with them.

Was on that thread — Tulsa is a sanctuary city which burns me to no end. I had heard rumors but to see it in print irritates me to no end.
