Just when the dust was beginning to settle following President Bush's latest assault on common sense, in which he accused conservatives of "spreading fear" by being honest about amnesty, Senator John McCain decided that fear mongering was not such a bad tactic after all. In fact, McCain decided that fear mongering was essential in trying to sell his amnesty snake oil to a skeptical and increasingly suspicious public.
On June 2, McCain rolled out his fear-based defense of amnesty on the campaign trail in Le Mars, Iowa. Responding to a question about deportation of illegal aliens, McCain delivered the following dilly: "In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,'' McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

Don't know, but he spent whatever political capital he had left. I expect more Manchurian Candidates will be getting their phone calls. I wouldn't attempt to guess who will pop up next. The landscape is changing too fast to get a handle on the enemy's game plan, but it is certain they are well down field and getting ready to punt any day now.
Perhaps if McCain became President, he could sign a decree to setup Chicano Law in Aztlán, the same way the Danelaw was imposed on the Anglo-Saxons a thousand years ago.
Just to keep the peace he could then create the Sharia Law for enclaves of Muslims to hold them over until the birth rate will allow them to declare Dhimmitude for the rest of us. /s___
They wouldn't need McCain at that point. Ruh-roh! Relp!
Hey! Welcome back ...
again ... LOL
I never, in my younger or adult life thought or dreamt I’d ever see the day when the POTUS and a bunch of U.S. Senators would sell the country down the river in a freakin’ heartbeat.
To say I’m stunned beyond belief is putting it mildly. To say I’m outraged is an understatement.
What if someday somebody brings together a million people...these million then denounce their citizenship and become illegal aliens...they then take over the government. It would be PC to stop them.
I really didn't expect things would get this bad this quickly. Six months ago I figured, not in my lifetime. Now all bets are off.
It won't surprise any day now to hear the gummint openly proclaim on nightly news:
'Your "great experiment" has failed. Your next great experiment is now in progress and you will be furnished a new set of rules and regulations as soon as the burial parties have cleared the roads.
'You will have twenty-four hours to report to your nearest post office to turn in your weapons and receive your official I.D. cards and 'authority to travel' papers.
'There is an immediate need for 225,000 volunteers to begin construction of our new highway system. Volunteers will receive extra food rations and a clothing allowance which will include two pair of cheap shoes provided by our trade partners across the Pacific.'
Know what you mean about the kids. Don't forget to pass on the video, "Red Dawn."
I can't guess how this is all going to play out. At this point I'm too flabbergasted to think clearly. Tomorrow, perhaps. I'm hopeful that our military will choose the right path when the SHTF.
It's been a real bummer of a week. :(
I'm in agreement with those here who think McCain's dumb statement will be taken as an invitation to the illegals and terrorists to speed up their plans.
FRegards, -- Dave
I support this President on just about everything but not this illegal immigration amnesty.
As for McCain, never liked him, never trusted him.
I always believed, thought, knew that Ted Kennedy was a sell out to American ideals and anyone who sided with him was the same. I always knew he was a murderer that got away with it but to have members of our party actually side with him on anything, astounds me.
I’m praying, and prayer does help, that this amnesty bill doesn’t pass.
Far too many of our elected officials cater to lobbies and eveyone but the american working people. And far too many of our people are clueless about any of this.
We’re either going to be a Socialist nation or an Islam nation in the near future unless the heart of this country stops it. That probably makes me a hatemonger or islamophobe in the eyes of most America, those too clueless to see what’s not only possible but actually coming. I never believed the masses were as stupid as portrayed but I’m starting to believe they are.
Just say NO to Amnesty!! Before its too late!!

This McCain believes is persuasive?
“I really didn’t expect things would get this bad this quickly”.
Please don’t take this wrong!
I’ve alienated a lot of “friends” over the years, trashed a 26 year marriage, and ended up damn near a hermit, simply by speaking out, and scaring people. Last thing you want to do, to be popular, is point out unpleasant things.
Most folks know something isn’t right, but as long as beer is cheap and sex comes easy, they can keep the boogieman in a little compartment, and almost forget about him. I reckon I never had any compartments in my brain. This has been coming on for decades.
I have taken a no-French-bashing pledge, since the French did the right thing by electing Sarkozy.
These days, to compare McCain to the French is an insult to the French.
What McPain inadvertently pointed out was that the french have lost control BECAUSE they allowed too many immigrants with no french traditions. Also, the french lost their nerve.
Ma deuce likes a bunched up group target.
Strange, isn’t it, how the RINOs & neo-cons warn us that the American people won’t stand for deporting illegal aliens (AKA: enforcing our immigration laws) but every time ICE does one of its (`catch & release’) PR employer raids, and always before some amnesty `trial-balloon’, the American public enthusiastically supports the effort?
He lost it decades ago. I maintain that he was brainwashed by the enemy. Sad on a human level —but his subsequent screwing up of the nation is inexcusable.
You won't because we have guns.
And frankly you ought to be ashamed of yourself for suggesting something like this McCain, you crazy old man.
TURN THE ENEMIES WEAPON AGAINST HIM
Call the Senate Immigration Reform Hotline at 1 800 417 7666
Press 1 for your senior senator, 2 for your junior senator.
This will connect you DIRECTLY to your senator without going through the congressional switchboard.
JAM THE LINES. LET THEM HEAR OUR ANGER AND FURY.
My problem is I just don't when to shut up. ;>
My daddy was a staunch conservative, but he always told me not to be so intense, “the pendulum will swing back”. I’ve never believed that was a viable analogy. Things left to chance usually go to Hell.
Hope that reverberates through the halls of the senate long and loud enough to reach his little cubby-hole.
look up the Mount pleasant riots 1991 for examples of Illegals rioting.
Yea, screw it.
Let’s not enforce ANY laws...that way no one will get pissed off.
Depends on who they are. Anyone that disbands the IRS cannot be all bad.
This hyperbole on your part is not pretty.
I was being sincere.
Wow, John McCain says we’ll have riots — presumably angry illegals — if we don’t give Mexico everything they want — and Obama says we’ll have ‘quiet riots’ — presumably angry blacks. (Or sulky Big Easy residents, not happy with their lot in life, not enough govt. money.) McCain’s candidacy is dead. Obama’s is losing steam, and doubtless neither knows why. Hint: No voter takes kindly to being threatened.
None of McCain’s rationalizations pass the straight face test.
Rewarding illegals simply leads to more threats the next time they demand something. Why should they pay attention to the rule of law when marching around yelling threats gets them what they want? McCain has lost his mind.
Police presence in bad neighborhoods could lead to police casualties, does that mean the police shouldn’t be around there?
McCain’s gone completely cuckoo for coco puffs.
After reviewing both video's, President Bush seams to believe in Aztlan. However, Aztlan doesn't believe in America.
These days are the beginning of the end of the United States. The United States in becoming balkanize. Aztlan can become a divided and hostile territory in the future thanks to President Bush policies.
John-—— I really think we can deal with a bunch of hoodlums.
I don’t want that in the suburbs of America.’’
Dont worry John, “we have Guns Here in the “Burbs”
and If they Riot in the Citys,,,then you will have them rounded up all in one place, how easy is that??
No, not yet. But when the illegals start burning cars, there soon will be.
May the riots begin! (in McCains home town)
you loot, we shoot. That’s where we’re different from the French. How can anyone support this guy?
McInsaine is showing his kook yellow livered colors. He is a pacifist. Viet Nam turned him into a pacifist. Viet Nam turned him into a coward.
McCain just gave away the last shreds of his hopes for the Presidency. Do we really need a fear monguring person such as he as President? No
Yep, lack of money and shelter always gets them. It sure would dry the problem up and quickly.
It's obvious how well that policy has worked for them! (sarcasm)
Trying to scare us might be more like it.
There may well be riots if we don't pass immigration "reform". But if that is true, then riots are likely inevitable no matter what we do; the longer we wait before working to remove the invaders, the worse the riots will be when they do occur.
Thus, even if McCain is right in a small part of his statement (riots may occur), he's absolutely wrong in the conclusion he draws.
“McCain just gave away the last shreds of his hopes for the Presidency. Do we really need a fear monguring person such as he as President? No”
We were all so sure of this a year ago, weren’t we?
I agree completely. It is simply amazing that people that live in a free country are allowing it to be given away like this.
I am so disgusted. It makes me physically ill everytime I think about the three candidates we have.
