"beginning to fear that vigilantism is the only solution."

That may be A solution, but probably not the best. All Citizens need to be legally empowered and protected should an immediate nation-wide clean-up operation become necessary. There will be plenty of tasks to keep everyone busy. Check out this Plan A.

Note to Senator McCain: When did you become an anarchist, fearful of what these lawbreakers would do? The French evidently do not have the guts to prosecute the thugs over there. We do and we should - regardless of the consequences.

Has John McCain forgotten the definition of TERRORIST? A terrorist is one who threatens violence to achieve a political goal.

By definition the people he is afraid of are terrorists... Does America now bow down to terrorists??? Not only that, but do we forgive their crimes, and then roll out the welcome mat?

This is a direct insult to all our brave soldiers who are putting their lives on the line as I write this.

SHAME ON YOU John McCain!

I can’t imagine many places outside the big urban centers where you wouldn’t see folks banding together to protect their neighborhood.

It’s funny, when I spent some time in SE Asia it was common to see the neighborhood guys doing the same thing, but with clubs not firearms. If they caught the perps they’d hold them until the police showed up. Sometimes that meant hogtying them with bailing wire from 2:00AM until 9:00AM; sometimes a ritual humiliation beating by the entire block (15 or 20 people including grandmas with little sticks); and once in a while a serious public smackdown by a few of the tougher guys. The message was “Don’t ever come back here again, and tell your friends.”

Once after about an hour of village justice, the police showed up to take charge of the perp (caught red-handed with a stolen TV). The first cop walks up to the guy, stares him down for a moment, and then coldcocks him with a very serious upper right. Then they dragged him away for a certain sentence to the work farm.

Justice is much simpler and PC-free in that part of the world.

“beginning to fear that vigilantism is the only solution.”

“Vigilantism” is a term not always properly applied. Refusing to dial 911, and watch people raped and murdered, while you wait for help, does not make you a vigilante. Every damn time I hear someone say, “don’t take the law in your own hands”, as if it is an absolute, I’ve got to ask where they got that idea. It isn’t supposed to be an “American” philosophy.

"“Vigilantism” is a term not always properly applied."

Agreed.

"Refusing to dial 911, and watch people raped and murdered, while you wait for help, does not make you a vigilante."

Agree absolutely.

"Every damn time I hear someone say, “don’t take the law in your own hands”, as if it is an absolute, I’ve got to ask where they got that idea. It isn’t supposed to be an “American” philosophy."

Agreed. My philosophy is, where there is no law, you are the law. Always was, always will be.

My point was that the sheriff is the highest legitimate law enforcement person in town, is a civilian, is non-federal and is answerable to those who elect him. He needs the support and assistance of all good Citizens in times of crisis.

Like I said, Plan A. If that fails, well that's another plan.

That really shows the mindset of many Mexicans. They truly don't respect our way of life, or our sovereignty. We need a wall - now.

What the hell is wrong with our elected officials?

That's the 3 Trillion dollar question. Our rulers are clearly betraying our trust. Dark days lie ahead for our Republic.

Biggest fear I ever had in my life was that we would really need a revolution, and I would be too damned old to see the sights on my rifle, that has about come to pass, I’ll just have to shoot at the noise and stink! Dead? Hell, almost been there, done that, a couple of times, ain’t no big deal, right now I’m dealing for my grandson.
He hit 15 today, my gift to him was my cherished old Kabar, an Arkansas hone, and a can of honing oil. I would have rather raised poets than warriors, but, maybe my grandson can take up poetry later, if he lives long enough.
I am going to die, the future, for me, is what I leave behind me. I can’t take anything with me, what I leave has got to be my best!

Yep, and aside from getting a lot of illegal idiots shot, it will cement public opinion against them in the minds of Americans forever.

I know a lot of good folks in Phoenix and Dallas, and one thing about it is, they are all armed.

They also keep guns on their persons and in their trucks.

It would be a one-sided fight, I think.

But if you are for amnesty, it seems to be OK to try to frighten people by predicting riots.

"In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been
relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,''
McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous
problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the
suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

Gosh, I thought those were done by people that either have become
French citizens or become French by virtue of birth.

Maybe McCain should rethink this.
Because he's planning a fast-track to making the USA into another
FRANCE by making MILLIONS of folks legal citizens overnight.

(And NO, I'm not saying there'd be riots if we did "regularize"
our illegal immigrants.
Well, except for maybe the Islamics...)

Plus, with his description of no-go zones for police...
He might as well be talking about that paradise of santuary city...
Los Angeles.

On June 2, McCain rolled out his fear-based defense of amnesty on the campaign trail in Le Mars, Iowa. Responding to a question about deportation of illegal aliens, McCain delivered the following dilly: "In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,'' McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

McCain is an embarrasment to this nation.

Rioters usually destroy their own neighborhoods. Motivated homeowners and small business owners know what must be done to protect their property.Good luck, when a million invaders are marching. That was the point of last year's Mayday mega marches: a shot across our bow. A half mlllion marchers OWN a city. There is no was the police can even put a dent in the edges. If they want, if a group like these turns violent, nothing can stop them.

That's why I'm so angry at our turncoat leaders: They KNOW all of this, and still they promoted the invasion.

John McCain has been in Washington too long. Someone should ask him why he did nothing about immigration when there were “only” 5 million. Today we don’t know how many some figures I’ve read go to 30 million. Last year I wrote my amnesty voting Senator Judd Gregg and asked for a handbook on what federal laws are enforced and which ones are not. Of course the answer did not address this. Riots? I guess these Senators live in an alternative corporate jet country club reality.

If,speaking hypothetically,a defending group stood their ground and used deadly force against that huge crowd,I suspect the greater number of casualties would be from panicked mob members trampling their own.The very building would reduce the mobs options for attack,UNLESS,a violent armed assault was already part of the mob's plan,in which case,if they want war,let them have it.

The city's authorities have legally ,both a duty to quell riots, and the means to do so.Water cannons, firehouses, tear gas ,public address orders to turn back, and finally;this is what the State Miltias were supposed to deal with until the centralized power in Washington took control years ago and nationalized the little military power the states had.

Anyway,if a mob is coming to destroy you and yours, the choices are RUN,or FIGHT BACK.If enough fight back the bad guys lose.Freedom has never been free.

I agree. You’d think that he of all people wouldn’t bow down to terrorist tactics... I mean I’m using the government’s own definition as put forward by Homeland Security; “Those who threaten violence to achieve political goals”. If he’s bowing down to fear of violence in order to justify pushing this bill through then he is in effect making a precedent of bowing down to terrorists.

What happens when those who support Al Qaeda, or Hamas, or Hezbollah see this and decide they can subjugate our Congress and people with the mere threat of violence? What in the WORLD is McCain thinking???
