Is that true? Suspected?

Back during the early days of Starr's investigation, I had pulled off an interstate to have lunch; stopped at a Chili's restaurant, since that was the only one I saw that wasn't fast food. They apparently always have a stack of USA Today newspapers for their customers, gratis. Seems like it was in the month of April. While I was waiting for my lunch, I passed the time by reading USA Today. There was an article, an odd one, that immediately struck me, because by then the Clinton administration was acquiring a reputation for getting out in front of the news cycle, in order to "frame" whatever new scandal erupted. In that article, there was an admission that Hubbell was Chelsea Clinton's father. I should have cut it out and saved it, or walked out with the paper. But, at the time, I couldn't have known how thoroughly the story would be spiked. I never heard one peep about it afterwards. Looks like the spinmeisters got too far out ahead of things, and Starr didn't go for the jugular in a political manner. It all sounds too strange, but I know what I read that day.

Try comparing Chelsea to early pictures of Bill’s mother. There’s a definite resemblance.

If you would post the pics you reference I wouldn’t have to go look for them. :)

Hillary laughed at her two partners and told them what Neanderthals they were.

What, no sexual harrassment lawsuits funded by NOW?

One friend wasn’t sure: “He loved Hillary. I hoped they had an affair. I think they both deserved it. They both had complicated spouses, complicated marriages.”

Man, the liberal mind is such a mess...

The pictures of Virginia that I saw were in her autobiography. I don’t have the book anymore, unfortunately.

Too Bad that the CSI TV series wasn't on at the time.
Public would have demanded a Luminol inspection of Fosters office.

If it was done, I think we would have found out that Hillary shot Vince.

As best I can tell, Hillary doesn’t respect anyone she considers “under” her. When Foster was a superior or a peer, he was cool. When he started workng for her, he became another serf. I imagine that just crushed him. She essentially turned her back on someone who was one of her best friends. His loyalty to Hillary led to his demise.

She is a cold callous creature that would be a horrible friend which is probably why she doesn’t have any friends. I had a girlfriend like Hillary once. She abused anyone who worked for her or needed her for anything. When she determined I was beneath her, it got ugly. The only time she warmed up was when I dumped her. Luckily, she finally dumped me and married a successful lawyer. Last I heard, she divorced and married again and was suing the first husband. Poor SOB.

“Foster had comparatively little interest in politics, exuded integrity, was meticulous in habit and dress, was conversant in every nuance of politesse,”

Even when discovered demised, he was in perfect repose as though he had laid himself out on display.

Patrick Knowlton

I wouldn’t place too much stock in his testimony. I got a bad feeling about the guy. His theory was interesting but a bit far-fetched.

there was an admission that Hubbell was Chelsea Clinton's father

IIRC the story was that rumor about Webb/Chelsea was running around and the Clinton's were ignoring it so it would go away.

No, it was somewhat confessional in tone, that Webb Hubbell actually was the father of Chelsea Clinton, that he did it as a gesture of love to dear friends, and that Bill Clinton could not father a child, he was sterile.

I somehow doubt that rag would print such a thing. They are red as a herring.

This narrative just does not build up to a credible reason for Vince Foster to commit suicide.

Five hours later police found him shot dead at Fort Marcy Park in northern Virginia, outside Washington. A bullet had been fired into his mouth. A revolver was in his hand.

And that's an interesting way of phrasing it.

They were the front line newspaper for the Clinton spin on things. I was very surprised to see the article, because of the potential negativity. I honestly think they were convinced Ken Starr was going to dredge it up and go public with it, so they decided to take charge of breaking it in a sympathetic manner.

But, I have no physical proof, so it's just my online postings going back to 1998 (assuming they're still around; all of my posting was done on the AOL boards back then) to vouch for my recollection. I'd be interested in knowing just when the comp copies of USA Today for hotels and restaurants are run, though. I bet they're first off the press, which would explain how some copies got out and were distributed.

I went to the Patrick Knowlton tour of Ft Marcy and have pictures somewhere from it. I later led a tour of Ft marcy Park. It was interesting.

The resources and experience here on FR is just amazing.

I hope we live long enough to find out what really happened that day.
