Most Hispanics have lined up behind this wretched bill. People like Linda Chavez, hispanic senators (all of them), Bush admin officials, and many legal Hispanics (the few that exist, i.e.) have decided to betray their country and support their “Raza” instead.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see this split proceed on racial lines. If this bill doesn’t pass (and it shouldn’t), we might see increasing waves of riots, murders, etc. by the Mexican fifth column element in this country.

“I am so proud he is my Senator.”

I’m so jealous. I have to contend with Obama and Durbin.

"These are people who’s jobs and lives are directly effected by the illegal immigration problem and the stress is starting to show. I do my best to explain to them that *hate* is not going to solve the problem but, the looks on their faces show their confusion. There are factions in this country who will not take this amnesty deal, lying down."

Our last hope was that at least the illegal invaders were still ILLEGAL, and someday, we might get a leader who would enforce the law.

But if 12-20+ million criminal invaders are given legal status by fiat, and an equal footing when it comes to health care, jobs, education etc, LEGALLY, FOREVER....

Then when the economy cycles into a bad recession, the frijoles are going to hit the fan. A "Z-Visa" will be seen by Joe Sixpack as a "Legal Invader Ticket," signed and sealed by traitors in Washington DC. Joe Sixpack isn't going to quietly and calmy say, "That's okay Pancho, YOU take my job. I'll lose my home, but that's okay, because YOU have a Z-visa."

No, he will not.

This bill is a recipe for CW2, which would be the worst disaster to hit the USA since the last CW.

All thanks to our treasonous sold-out so-called "leaders."

I’m so jealous. I have to contend with Obama and Durbin. Yikes! I'm sorry..Alabama is blessed with 2 great men. Sen. Shelby is also a good senator. He is not as conservative as Sessions, but at least he has the sense to listen to his constituency and votes accordingly. The only thing he has done to make me ill was to use federal funding to fix the Vulcan statue in B'ham. But after that, he has pretty much done the job he was sent to do. :) I sometimes forget that not everyone in Alabama has good political sense. A woman at the gym the other day told me she would probably vote for Obama! She didn't like it when I told her I was going with either Fred Thompson or Duncan Hunter. :)

Let's amnesty the hive of Washington villains and scum - out of their jobs! That's the only message they appear to understand.

McCain insinuates there would be riots if this bill didn’t pass.
I believe the opposite is true. If the bill should pass, the former illegals would be encouraged, would find strength in numbers, would be joined by additional numbers, and there would be open rioting.
They would find a cause celebre to start it off. Someone accused of a heinous crime, perhaps. In other areas that wouldn’t even be necessary, since the heinous crime happened right after the Mexican War.
Furthermore, the disrespect for the law that this bill encourages, would not be limited to the aliens.

Good for you twonie, you rock. Your posting gave my wife and I a good laugh. This is very serious it’s just too bad Americans don’t speak up on more issues with the same passion that you’ve shown. Keep up the good work.

The 12 million undocumented and then their parents, spouses etc.

Even if you accept the undercounted figures of amnesty proponents, it is still a boatload of people.

Harry Reid should bring the 12 million illegals out of the shadows, put them on busses like Eisenhower and Tru;man did, and send them home.

Thanks for posting the list. No suprise about Jeb, unfortunately. Jack Kemp was been totally worthless for over ten years now. Former cokehead Larry Kudlow has always been a vocal open borders guy, calling people who want to enforce immigration laws “hotheads” and “meatheads.” Charlie Black has apparently gotten tired of screwing up campaigns and has decided to endorse this mess. Didn’t know about Ken Mehlman, but he was and probably still is a Bushie.

“bring the 12 million undocumented americans out of the shadows.”

Oh it's a lot more than that.

Let's not forget to add thier undocumented american relatives living south of the border.

Might as well add all those undocumented american babies still in thier wombs too.

Because they will ALL become........"documented":o(

Actually the defenders of the bill who say 'it's not amnesty' are right, but for the wrong reason: it's worse than an anmensty.

An amnesty would let the illegals off without punishment. This bill rewards them for violating the laws of the United States by allowing them a track to citizenship.

A mere amnesty--we won't deport you, or clap you in irons for having violated our laws--accomplished by grandfathering the current illegals into some regularized guestworker status provided it was coupled with very tough border enforcement and very tough sanctions against employers of still-illegal aliens is something I could support as part of a really comprehensive reform: guestworker program, tough border enforcement, tough sanctions against employers of illegals, extra law enforcement resources devoted to both parts of enforcement, statutory limits on social benefits to non-permanent residents, short prison terms (even three months should suffice) before deportation for illegals once the guestworker program is in place (to interrupt the flow of remittences home), increased quotas for legal immigration from countries the US gets lots of economic migrants from (meaning Latin America, not Muslim countries).

The current bill is worse than an amnesty, and should go down to an ignominious defeat.

I have had some amazing experiences in the last few months with friends and family. Everyone is on edge, and I am not completely sure why. Maybe it is the war and maybe it is the propaganda. WE need to take the Clintons and their perpetual campaign and stick it.
