Figures. Small men like tall women.
Well mdittmar,we can smile and have a good laugh, and don’t get me wrong,I can have a hell of a good time as anybody else here, however we REALLY dodged a bullet for you,me and our kids and grandkids tonight. This McCain\Kennnedy Bill that our great leader Bush was dying to sign, would have put a dagger in the heart of our country and what it stands for.I so want to debate the people who think this man is a good leader because they’re thinking with their hearts not their intellects !!!
It is Free Republic’s fault. That ad was the tipping point.
Awww poor MSM. Are they fretting over losing their influence? (Thank God!) They are just pissed that they can’t manipulate us as easily as they used too. Time to lay off a few more reporters!
We did good today,we did it.
You DON”T get it.The MSM can only go so far. The issue about illegal immigrants has been taken up by elected crack whores who intend to sell you and I out. They have names and personalities like Ted Kennedy,John McCain,Arlen Specter,Hillary Clinton and George Bush. These people would screw a snake if they could get it’s legs apart. They are decidedly Not your friends !!!
In answer to your question..Kerry or Gore? I would still vote for Bush. I am not in agreement with all he believes in..never was. But he is like most presidents..sometimes good..sometimes not so good. AND looking at the current slate of Democratic presidential candidates, if President Bush were in the race, I’d have to stick with him. What choice would we have? Unless a viable third party emerges (not likely}..none.
I hope our elected representatives listened to the feed back and kept unacceptable legislature out of our country. I am no Bush-Bot, but the present alternatives scare me.
DDDFD...do I need to stay up all night for this???
Don’t worry I know who the team players are( at least some of them)and certainly know that the “snake screwers” as you put it are not my friend and not on our side but the MSM is just as much a part of it. Without the internet, talk radio to an extent and certain conservative writers this bill would have passed with hardly a whimper. You’d of never read any dissenting opinions or very few on any of this from The Wash Post, The NY Times, The LA Times and the WSJ who have been pushing this crap for years. Not to mention most of the talking heads of ABC, CBS, NBC along with certain CNN and Fox “newscasters” and pundits. They underestimate and underestimated the power of the internet and in part talk radio. However don’t you underestimate their influence. They have had their way for decades if not hundreds of years when it comes to shaping “public opinion”. Of course they don’t do this for their own satisfaction but work hand in hand with the power brokers of DC. Many people only know what they see on TV or read in the paper. That’s how they vote and that is how they form many of their opinions. The internet has changed the containment of influence at least for the moment. The only question is what is DC going to try to do about it?
>>DDDFD...do I need to stay up all night for this???<<
LOL. You would have to stay up longer than one night to catch them sneaking the bill in again.....
the first one deep-sixed ms. Meyers.
The bill is on it’s last legs and so are the dinosaur media. Wow, what a coincidence.
Basically it is the extremes who oppose this amnesty bill. The extremely wise, extremely well read, extremely rational, extremely aware that present emigration laws would work if they were enforced, extremely aware that a double fence across our southern border is essential to the salvation of the United States.
20 million illegal aliens not only can be rounded up and sent home, they MUST be rounded up and sent home. Anything less is amnesty and an invitation to the entire populace of the world,(especially Mexico) to invade the USA.
Just stop the sob stories and excuses and do it!
As I understand it.....
1. An illegal is here illegally.
2. This bill in the swoosh of a pen stroke makes him legal.
3. However, the new legal person must return to his native land, return to the US, pay $5,000 and go to the back of the of the line for becoming a citizen of the US so he can pay taxes, social security taxes and healthcare which he does none of now.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Compassion spelled "M-E-D-I-A"
Giving away someone else’s property for votes indeed takes many forms, but Bush is OK with it because some friends put pressure on him.
You are so right!! It ain’t over yet!
