TEHRAN (AFP) - Iran has warned that US military bases in the Middle East are within the range of its missiles, amid increasing tensions with Washington over the Iranian nuclear programme, media reported Sunday.

"All the American bases in the region are within the reach of our weapons," said Mohammad Baqer Zolghadr, the deputy interior minister in charge of security issues.

"If the United States attacked Iran, US interests would be in danger everywhere in the world," added Zolghadr, a former deputy chief of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards.

I see the price of oil has dropped so of course the thugs in Iran start in yet again with their rhetorical terrorism to pump up the price.

Don’t sing it bring it Mullahs. Yes, we have some bases in range of your missiles, however, our missiles can hit anywhere in your country. And we have many, many, many more missiles then you.

"If the United States attacked Iran, US interests would be in danger everywhere in the world."

Well, I guess that would depend on HOW we attack.

It's kind of difficult to attack when your whole country is a smoking, radioactive wasteland.

We just don't have the stones to do that, though, so this idiot is probably correct.

I sure don’t agree on the President’s position on immigration but I have no doubt about his commitment to protect the American people from the idiots in Iran. I suspect in concert with Israel we will see some decisive action to address that threat in the very near future.

Now all you FReepers who got the threat our nation faces from lax border policy on your minds....throttle back to flight idle...I’m not talking about that...

If one of those Hellywood Mafia mooks drove up to my house and said to me, when I came out to ask who he was and what he wanted ... and he said something like, "It'd be a shame if your kids (names) had an 'accident' ..." I'd be on immediate defense/offense mode and my life would have taken an immediate change .. perhaps never to be the same again.

"We just don't have the stones to do that, though, so this idiot is probably correct."

(Insert that gif of the Statue of Liberty holding a child in her arm with the caption, "The most dangerous place to be is standing between a mother and her child" ) ... here.

As a threat, this is so boneheaded that I have to wonder if they really said it. For the record, such an attack is technically termed an “attention-getting step.”

Here's another way to look at it, Mohammad.

All your weapons are within the reach of our bases...and we have weapons too.

Good ones.

Big ones.

They've already hit us. It was 1979. They stormed our Embassy and took hostages, in an undeniable act of war. Unfortunately, there was a spineless DemocRat in the Oval Office then and we did nothing.

Now, fast foward 28 years and our lack of action has come back to bite us in the arse (again). Thank you, Jimmuh Carter, proving once again that you are and always will be the single worst President in American history.

This is yet another glaring example of how you fight small battles now or large wars later.....

And we have weapons to shoot down your silly little missiles, you Mullah idiots.

Bring it. Anything you try will be responded to, in kind, 1000x over. Buh bye nuke plant. Buh bye, Iranian "airforce." Buh bye Iranian oil fields.

I have the feeling if Iran is stupid enough to attack us it would be a rout of the likes of the Harlem Globetrotters against the Washington Generals.

Just try it mullahs. You will be reunited with Saddam, Bin Laden and your 72 Helen Thomas lookalike virgins in hell rather quickly. There couldn't be a better place for you vermin than that.

And Iran would make a nice above ground nuclear test site.

‘’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’

This is hilarious. A brief look at the map shows Iran surrounded by the U.S. military. Add to that the carriers in the Persian gulf and they resemble the rat in the back alley dumpster surrounded by exterminators ready to drop some rat poison on its food supply. Only the rat looks around and says I’m warning you, you are within striking distance of my teeth.

So true. All the more reason for Bush to get the missile defense system up in Poland and the Czech Republic, and fast, before a Dem president might get in this next U.S. election. Putin and Iran and probably working in conjunction here with their threats in the last couple of days.

Listen! He's singing a song to a Neil Diamond tune...

Fast
We'll be travelling fast
Jihad has seen it's last
But not without a bang

Free
Only want to be free
We huddle close
Hang on to a dream

On the subs and in the air
Missiles going to Iran
Never looking back again
Missiles going to Iran

Peace, don't it seem so far away
Oh, we're travelling at the speed of light, In the eye of the storm
In the eye of the storm

Home, to a new and and hell-bent place
Make our bed, and we'll say our grace
Freedom's light burning warm
Freedom's light burning warm

Missiles from round the world
They're going to Iran
Every time that nukes are hurled
They're going to Iran

Got a dream to take them there
They're going to Iran
Got a dream Americans have come to share
(the Nukes)
They're going to Iran

They're going to Iran
They're going to Iran
They're going to Iran
They're going to Iran
Today, today, today, today, today
