Nothing! At the end they were all meeting at a diner, Meadow was having a ditzy tough time parallel parking, and she finally walks in and black screen. Nothing. The end. Sorry west coast.

I have no idea what that was supposed to mean. Were they making the inference that the guy who went into the bathroom was going to do a Godfather type hit on Tony, and Meadow was going to miss it because she couldn’t park her car correctly? I’m lost.

Coming Summer 2008, feature film "The Sopranos".

My take is Lynch says, "Write your own ending". That was what the blank screen was for.

The more I thought about it, the more it was a brilliant way to go out for David Chase. He lets the viewers choose their own ending. Depending on how you viewed Tony and the rest of the dynamic crew will determine the ending in your mind. Maybe you think Tony gets shot. Maybe you think he gets indicted. Maybe Meadow defends him. Maybe the truck driver or the black guys in the restaurant come and shoot him. Brilliant.

I know. WTF?

One theought, the ending was from Tony’s point of view as he is whacked. Everything just ends instantly, right when you least expect it.

Another thought, I heard they filmed 5 different endings. Looked like they didn’t use any of them. So they put out a special collectors DVD with all 5 endings. Sales will be huge.

What the heck?!

That's what hubby and I just said... is that IT?

What a letdown. Seems to me the writers just ran out of ideas. Oh well, at least it wasn't as bad as the 'Seinfeld' final episode...

Tony asked Bobby what he thought the end was like earlier. Bobby supposed everything just goes black. Tony was killed, then everything went black for him.

The guy that went into the bathroom was a hitman. Remember when Bobby and Tony were talking about that you never hear the one coming to get you? The series goes black as Tony dies. He never saw it coming. The whole series WAS Tony. With him dead.... all black.

Perhaps he was driving home the vacuousness of the characters lives (and all modern lives in general - the overarching theme in the series) - AJ hates the war on terror but then wants to joint the military then is involved in the movies and drives a BMW. Perhaps Meadow gets blown up in her car? Tony was going to get wacked or Carlo was going to snitch. Uncle Junior forgets it all and in the end so what? Either way the corruption, the violence, the pointless goes on and on - it’s all blank. Or maybe it was just too many loose ends or of course a big movie :)

GREAT, Great ending!!!

You know the New York mob boss, Phil, got whacked, and LOL...somebody promise me, if they see my body about to get run over by a car, MOVE MY BODY, don’t try to get in the car and put on the brakes!!

So..........with Tony’s arch enemy Phil dead, and Tony agreeing to a peace pact with Phil’s guy, MY ending is that Tony prospers. Oh the little fact that the guy hired to whack Tony goes in the restroom just before Meadow comes into the restaurant doesn’t bother me. If there’s ever a Soprano movie, or they come up with a new HBO series, it would be easy enough for the writer to show the hitman came out of the can, saw Meadow, or the table of Cub Scouts, and decided not to kill Tony.

GREAT ending!!!

Yeah I think that's right too (maybe a little of what I posted about too :)), that flashback was there for a reason.

"Doom IV"! "The Search for Tony"

The Movies/Game Reality TV Show with...Bob Barker!

We still don't know where the "stash" is and Tony believes that it's buried in th trunk of a Vulva!

Go to Dr Poo Poo.com and you can find the directions to the Stash! It may be Lost but it ain't in Trump's Atlantic City Casinos.

Ahhhh but for the rest of his life, Tony will have to look up to see who comes in the door, forever wondering if this is it.

Not the best ending for a television series... Both 'Newhart' and 'St. Elsewhere' had the best endings I've seen, but an interesting way to end things.

Hi — Nutmeg!

So——— Was that supposed to be a brilliant ending? I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s TV page write-ups about it. I guess any ending you want can be read into whatever it was that happened.

Frankly, I’m happy it is over. We never missed an episode, but I was really was disappointed with the first few shows in this last bit. These really are awful people!

Killing off a hundred million dollar money making machine so some fancy smancy hollywood speedo wearing artiste’ can make people guess at the endin’

Get the xxxx outta here!

Seriously though the Sopranos franchise is a huge money maker, there is no way that Tony Soprano can be killed, he is like immigration reform, too much at stake for too many people to quietly like that there...

Tony Soprano would be a better Senator from NJ than either Frank the “lout” Lautenberg or Bob “payday” Menendez..

I am only half kidding about that...

So I guess you don’t watch movies, or plays, or look at art, or.....

I watch a lot of TV, and -- EVERY WEEK -- I know MORE about the REAL world -- plus ancient and modern history, cooking, science, how to fix my house... or actually build something. And on and on, you name it.

Sheesh, Anti TV snobs bore me. It’s not TV, it’s what you pay attention to...especially if you have cable -- IOW, just like the Internet.

I mean for goodness sakes, even franchises like “wings” are still going on, how much would a Sopranos movie be worth, maybe 300 million or 400 million?

BaDaBing! I think you are the winner. The last 5 mins. I was watching every fringe character for a move on Tony, AJ car to explode, Meadow to get hit by a truck crossing the street. Just because none of that happened doesn’t change the tension of the ending.
