You know...I don’t think they’re listening to us. Which means they also should not be representing us.
Take names.

I TOTALLY agree, these clowns have no idea that “the real America” want no part in legalizing 12 million ILLEGALS. You just wonder what is driving these lemming politicians to do this sort of thing.

Mr Snow,
How bout you tell the President ‘If we secure the border, first and without ANY legislation, the entire population of the country would be more than willing to discuss additional measures dedicated to dealing with the illegal intruders you apparently value more than ‘We the People’’?
Just a thought, Tony. Come on, your a Cincinnati boy, you know where the problem here is. Its in the President’s policy on this matter.

Key Republican and Democratic senators, working to attract more support for President Bush's stalled immigration bill, huddled Wednesday with Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to discuss tougher border security and workplace enforcement. So they are huddling with the guy who admits that, nearly six years after 9/11, DHS still cannot track visa overstays.
Huddling with Chertoff for ideas about tougher border security would be like huddling with Ray Nagin for ideas about how to use school buses for hurricane evacuations.

I heard on another thread that Harry said -no more amendments-vote on the bill as is, or he won’t bring it back. The poster said he heard Harry on the radio. I hope this is true.

The entire point of this charade is to get the amnesty. Just like in 1986, they would never get around to the enforcement provisions, just as they've built 11 miles of the fence that was authorized last year.

Key Republican and Democratic senators, working to attract more support for President Bush's stalled immigration bill... Notice the wording - written by a liberal reporter -- liberals are NOT taking ownership of the immigration bill. They're trying to pin it on all Republicans - and only 10 of our guys voted for it. Can anyone smell the coffee?

I’m hoping the fact this isn’t Reagan but Bush the Younger, will make this turn out differently than the 86 POS foisted upon us all.
We’ll see.

“Clearly, there will be some attempts to put together amendments that will be ‘killer amendments,’ but so far none have passed.”
Oh Tony, Tony. You mean like the one not allowing criminals to stay? Apparently even that amendment didn’t make it into the bill.
They truly believe we are stupid.

Good grief! Forget this so-called godawful amnesty legislation and enforce the laws already on the books.

Take names? We cannot wait until they are up for re-election to act on this. If government breaks with the people, the people should break with the government, or they deserve what they will get. NO REPRESENTATION, NO TAXES! Period. There aren’t enough jails to absorb over 300,000,000 people!

Im hoping the fact this isnt Reagan but Bush the Younger, will make this turn out differently than the 86 POS foisted upon us all.In other words, you are hoping that someone twisting the meaning of "amnesty" in directions that would make a Clintonista blush, will then turn around and show us that enforcement means enforcement.
