Commissioner Stacy Ritter said she did not want the county to be linked to a station "that’s out of step with area politics,” the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Stacey should be considering signal strength/coverage area, maybe even % of population covered by a particular station when selecting who's going to be the emergency broadcaster.

Once again, you have democrats betraying the public trust by playing politics with the lives of people instead of protecting those lives.

Any solution that optimizes politcal advantage at the expense of public safety means that Stacey and the other Democrats have blood on their hands. Not a question of if, just when.

IMO, what it says is that if you listen to this station you will not receive warnings. They should be contracting with every radio station to warn as many people as possible.

I am a bit confused and something in this story does not add up. I just heard about it on Hannity.

In an emergency I thought ALL radio stations got the the same feed from the NWS, or any other agency.
