I live about 5 miles from Tarpon Springs, FL. We have more Greeks around here than Greece!
My wife and I went to a middle eastern restaurant years ago. We were the only ones there. The waiter came out and told us what we were having. He just plain told us the way it was going to be. Roasted lamb with onions and tomatoes, hummus, all sorts of weird stuff. Every last thing was delicious.

damn, it worked! I still don't know what was in it.It may be one of those times when ignorance is bliss. ;o)
When we were in Tokyo in 2005, I enjoyed the taste of Porcari Sweat, and the fact that there were vending machines all over town selling it made it easy to always have a cold drink that didn't dehydrate me, when I needed one!

Since when did cucumber become a popular flavor? Hendricks gin is flavored with cucumber, for some bizarre reason.
Whatever.

In Guatemala they make a drink out of cucumber. Just like lemonade, but with cucumbers instead. It’s actually pretty good.

Mix that with some crabmeat and avocado flavored drink, then soak it all into seaweed-wrapped rice and dunk into soy sauce... yum?

You gotta have something to wash down those seaweed-flavored potato chips.

I was in Romania recently, and their cucumbers are amazing. Frankly, the kick the daylights out of the ones we have here. Reminds me of my recent visits to eastern Ukraine. The outdoor markets have the best produce I've ever seen. All of it grown locally and all of it surpassing in quality, appearance and flavor anything that I can find in the grocery stores here.

There was an excellent aloe and grape drink sold in Japan for a while, although I don’t think the one that I particularly liked is still sold.
