Hamas TV: We'll execute Fatah leaders

Organization completes takeover of Preventive Security Service headquarters in Gaza Strip, one of PA's symbols. Hamas TV broadcasts from inside building, displaying weapons 'sent by Israel'; gunmen declare, 'This is the first step in the establishment of an Islamic state'

Ali Waked Published: 06.14.07, 13:08 / Israel News

Hamas gunmen on Thursday afternoon completed the takeover of the central building of the Palestinian Preventive Security Service's headquarters in the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas members took over vehicles and weapons in the compound, which is considered the Palestinian Authority's main symbol in the Strip. The Preventive Security Service cooperated with Israel in the past and is identified with Fatah strongman Mohammed Dahlan.

The gunmen who entered the compound held a prayer there and waved a flag on the building's rooftop. Hamas' television station is broadcasting from inside the compound, where senior Hamas members had been questioned in the past.

The Hamas TV also broadcasted a display of weapons inside the building, as well as jeeps, mortar shells and bulletproof vests seized in the compound, which according to Hamas, were smuggled to Fatah by Israel and the Americans in the past few months through the border with Egypt.

Name changed, as well as mission

Hamas members held a prayer in the compound, which they referred to as the "heresy compound." Hamas also changed the name of the neighborhood where the building is located from "Tel al-Hawa" to "Tel al-Islam."

Hamas' media outlets threatened to reach Fatah and the PA's official radio and telelvision stations, and provided the names of senior Fatah officials they planned to execute. "We will reach you," Hamas members told the Fatah leaders.

Meanwhile, the gunmen collected weapons and ammunitions from the Fatah members' homes and from families affiliated with them.

"This is the first step in the establishment of the Islamic state," a Hamas member told Ynet from inside the Preventive Security Service building. "This is Islam's victory, Allah's victory, and we pray to Allah for brining us this victory."

Hamas officials announced that the building would turn into a college for religion studies, and that the Sariya – the PA's government office building – would turn into a large religious center.

Aides to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Thursday that he had given the first order to his elite presidential guard to strike back against Hamas rivals.

According to reports, the Palestinian president was looking into the possibility of declaring the disbandment of the Palestinian government and parliament, as well as declaring the Gaza Strip a "rebelling district" and saying that the only legal and official rule in the Palestinian Authority was in Ramllah.

This would force Hamas to decide whether it wants to run the Strip on its own, with all the political and economic consequences. PA officials said that Hamas did in fact smuggle large sums of money into the Strip, but that they doubted whether these sums would be able to fund the Strip's activity for more than a short period.

Hamas sources said that after taking over the Preventive Security Service building, they would move to Muntada and Ansar compounds, where Abbas' office and the rest of the PA's security headquarters are located, and would also take over the Palestinian television building.

Meanwhile, Fatah has begun broadcasting security instructions to the Palestinian security officers on television, calling on them not to surrender to Hamas. The television warned of a military coup and cautioned the Palestinians not to be lured in by the propaganda and the psychological war led by Hamas.

I was about to post on another thread that now that Hamas has won, it will be time in a couple of days for the mass executions.

What was a talking about, a couple of days. A couple of minutes is more like it.

Hamas will create an Islamic State in Gaza and annihilate Fatah there. Fatah will remain the stronger party in the Westbank and destroy Hamas there. Two independent “Palestinian areas” will come, destroying the “Palestinan Authonomy”.

This will make it easier for Israel. Divide and conquer. The Hamas state in Gaza should be annhiliated first.

Good analysis, I concur.

Agreed. Perhaps we should give each side some of our recent artillery peces instead of those crappy Chinese mortar tubes they use. ...and some training on how to use them properly.

Heck, we could even spin it that we are trying to help the Palestinians.

I certainly hope everyone has the good sense to not interrupt them. What better way to accelerate the war on terror than to get the Jihadis to kill each other.

Good thing Hamas adheres to the religion of peace. If their religion was war-like then there would really be trouble. </sarcasm>

The thing I notice is that these people know how to deal with each other.

You dont see any reports of capture or imprisonment.

They say it flat out—They intend to execute any enemies.

Thats the way to fight these people , Dont arrest them so they can be released and fight again. Execute them and they wont bother you again.
There is something to be learned from these people and how they fight each other.

It's because they can't figure out how to blame Muslim on Muslim violence on the Jews yet. Give it time, the media will find some way of blaming Israel.

Israel can simply say it’s not their fight. Let Hamas take Gaza. Once they’ve done it tell the world that due to Hamas’ stated goal of the destruction of Israel, they have no choice but to defend their people by any means necessary. Carpet bombing should commence 5 minutes after isuuing the statement.

If you don’t have a real country, you can’t have a civil war. This is more like gang warfare.

I’m looking forward to the executions. Fatah or Hamas, dead Palis are a good thing.

Listen, guys, one more time.

In America, we don't have any arguements that go back much more than two hundred years, and even those, we treat lightly. Instead of killing each other over who killed whose great-great-great-great grandfather, we spend our time making things and selling them. By and large, we try to realistically blame ourselves when we fail (rather than the JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!), and this helps us identify where we fall short, and teaches us how to do things better. When our political leaders fail, we can vote them out, and to have this privilege, we kicked out our Royalty right from the start. (Granted, most politicians are still crooks, but we at least get to choose our crooks.) We treat most of our religious leaders with skepticism and tolerance, but leave the living of life to ourselves, and we don't waste time and life killing each other over what God supposedly decrees everyone must eat for breakfast. We embrace new technologies, rather than hide ourselves in a pestilent world a thousand years in the past...and this gives us things like desalination plants and air conditioning. We refrain from blowing up private property, and this encourages people to invest, and this creates jobs. You ought to try it.

Seriously, in the last thousand years, your traditions pretty much gave us the Zero, advancements in bombing technology, and thousands crushed to death in mass stampedes in "holy days" which you have every other week.

In the past two hundred years, we've produced air-flight and computers, we've whipped most diseases, we've defeated tyrants who wanted to conquer the world three times (four if you count what we are going to have to do to you before you shut the hell up) and we have left our footprints on the moon, for God's sake. (That's right, you shoe-slapping Luddites, we walked on the symbol of your religion.) Over here, we eat to entertain ourselves. We have so much food, we can choose between five kinds of meat and two dozen vegetables at the Golden Corral, and still have a choice of a dozen desserts. You can have all this, and all you have to do is stop wasting your time and resources killing each other over "What Would Allah Demand If He Weren't Such A Cruel, Unforgiving Bastard Who Demands We Stay Poor, Ignorant, and Slaughter Our Children to Drive Out The Infidel."

Speaking of Allah, we find him pretty unimpressive. For one thing, he demands you die in stupid, wasteful ways, lets you starve to death (supposedly under our heel, but the truth is we used to be just indifferent to you), and given a thousand years of history, except for the oil wealth that your leaders rarely share with you, he seems unable to improve your lot in any way. In my view, our God has blessed us so much for saving the world several times that we foolishly even forget how good we have it, and from where our wealth comes from. You are right in that, we are a fat, lazy culture. And yet, I'll eat steak tonight while you are busy killing each other.

You would think that any reasonable people would say, "hey, instead of pi$$ing away what little we have, how about developing a stable society based on private property where the world would like to build businesses that would offer jobs where we could work to get money to feed our families, rather than creating another damn ruling class of militia men who will get a billion dollars in aide from Iran and hide it away in Swiss bank accounts like the last crooked leader we had did." I used to hope you were smart enough to do this. But no, you are just going to kill, kill, kill, because your religious whacko is smarter than their religious whacko, and sacrificing you children willingly in a pointless war with yourselves that will cull your best and brightest, so that only the weak and injured are left to attack us. On behalf if the "infidels", thanks on that.

If ANY of your "Arab brothers" gave a camels behind about you, they would have taken you in after fifty years. The truth is, it is far better for them that you stay a thorn in Israel's side. You are at best a pawn.

It's not the JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE, guys. You are just enslaved by royalty or Imams, manipulated by your own leaders, and damn stupid.

A few days ago, I was questioning the sending of weapons over to Fatah. I was assured here that they would be used to kill Hamas members. Now, they are in the hands of Hamas, hopefully, they'll only be used on Fatah, and not on Israelis.

You are right. Also, the Palestinians have bred such a culture of violence in their lives they will always be fighting. Perhaps the way to handle such nations is to get them upset at each other. The problem is, we need the area stable because of the oil.

In a way, Saddam Hussein had it right. Fight with Iran, because otherwise the violent elements in a violent society attack you.
