Fast phone connection to your senator's office

Posted on 06/14/2007 2:19:57 PM PDT by skimbell

Sorry for the "Vain" post but I haven't seen this number posted today.

Dialing this number gets you directly into the US Senate switchboard. This line is set up especially for our "Guest Workers" who, being too busy doing the jobs that Americans wont, decided that they needed direct access to our senators in order to prompt them to vote this amnesty bill into law.

Anyway, the call is an 800 number which is billed to the pro-amnesty forces. It's all in Spanish but if you push #1 and then #1 again, you are connected directly to your states senior senator. Pushing #1 and then # 2 puts you through to your states junior senator.

I called a couple of time yesterday to a variety of senators and it worked great. The staffs at all of the offices that I contacted were very polite and courteous. Today they seem a bit more put out and are asking where you live in order to verify that you actually can withhold a vote from them if you chose to. It's still a hell of a lot easier to get through to your senator on this illegal hotline that trying to do it as an ordinary American.

I got right through to Turban Durbin but B. Huessain Obama just had a recording going telling one and all that he was working for workers and their families.-good stuff.

The number is 1-800-882-2005.

I would recommend telling the airheads that they should start looking for their private sector job because they’re being voted OUT. In other words, they’re toast.

I do not understand. If all I have to do is push #1 followed by #1, then how do they know which Senate office I want? I really have no desire to send a message to either Durbin or Obama since I live in Arizona.

How did you talk to “various” senators?

Ha! This number is "not available to call from" my "calling area."

I guess Tucson, Arizona isn't in the United States any more.

Who knew?

The system “recognizes” the area code you are calling from and directs you to your Senators. You can not use this to call another State’s Senators.

They will transfer you, for instance if you are calling using a cell phone number from a state where you used to live.

The same Mexican Amnesty people have a toll free number in ENGLISH also. You still have to listen to the schpiel but it automatically connects you to your Senator.

I was able to contact both Senator Chambliss and Senator Isakson in the first ring today.

They still have this number running? You’d think they would have shut it down with all the calls that have been made on it.

Happened to me the first time I dialed. It turned out I had dialed incorrectly. Try it again.

I got through to Senator McCain's office using another number and told them that we needed to enforce the laws we already have. I said that I do not want him voting to give amnesty to illegal aliens and his Jr. Senator told me to "Call the Executive Branch. We (meaning the Senate) do not enforce the law."

They aren't law enforcement but they darn sure write the laws, approve those that are appointed to hire and oversee those that are supposed to enforce the laws and that was one of the biggest cop outs I've heard in a long time.

I let the schmuck that answered the phone know that McCain would not stand an icecube's chance in hell of receiving my vote for him to become President if McCain supported Amnesty for criminals.

The flunky subordinate hung up on me. I don't think he was having a good day.

Now I am definitely NOT a McCain supporter.

That's a good thing. Supporters of the bill SHOULD be made to feel awkward and uncomfortable about it until it wears like a scarlet letter of shame.
