On Technorati, which offers a real-time glimpse of the blogosphere, the most frequently searched term this week was "YouTube."
Then comes "Ron Paul."
The presence of the obscure Republican congressman from Texas on a list that includes terms such as "Sopranos," "Paris Hilton" and "iPhone" is a sign of the online buzz building around the long-shot Republican presidential hopeful -- even as mainstream political pundits have written him off.

We all know al Qaeda has access to the internet.
Since when does five constitute hugh.
code pink or any other blame america first crowd too
Howard Dean’s “lead” was only on the intenet too. The media can say he fell from grace because of a goofy scream but he never had genuine support to begin with. The DNC paid him back for stepping aside by giving him party leadership.
People put WAY too much confidence in online polls which are entirely unscientific and even hackable.
LOL... good one FRiend.
Don’t laugh, if enough of these people vote in the Republican primaries, Ron may be your candidate.
I once voted in the Democratic primary just so I could vote for their weakest candidate.
It’s amazing what ten groupies can do while looking for anything about their idol.
L Ron Paul is a legend in his own mind.
Don’t people get tired deleting all those cookies one thousand times a day?
Write a script to do it. And if you manage a bank of computers at a university, office, or kinkos, more computers...
.....a Huge Joke that is!
Also take a look at FR polls with Ron Paul on them and notice how many non-member votes he gets. I don't know why his people bother. Ron Paul is a mere curiosity in the Presidential race, sort of a GOP Kucinich without the hot wife.
The equivalent is "David Hasselhof is huge in Germany".
Full Disclosure, I've voted for Ron Paul for President.
So was Howard Dean. The good news is that DEean lost and became chairman of the DNC. Maybe Paul will become Chairman of the RNC. A bit of a nut, but at least he has a pair of them.
PaleoPaulie combines the cutting edge intellect of Paris Hilton, with the rugged and youthful good looks of Bob Barker and the anti-Americanism of Osama bin Laden and the foreign policy of George McGovern. Thus paleoPaulie is utterly irresistible to the interfaith platoons of Howard Dean and the screaming meemie faction of the Demonratic surrender monkeys (but I repeat myself).
If he did win the nomination, would you support him?
One has to enjoy the election year promotions every cycle.
Let me guess, he is coming on a white steed with saber raised to save humanity from all the ills of the world that are rampantly scourging the planet.
You too, eh? LOL!
You too, eh? LOL!
stuttering from laughter....
Ron Paul has a buzz for the same reason that the liberals and moderates were promoting John McCain.
Ron Paul is a useful stooge for Al Qaeda, Muslim extremists, liberals, and moderates to bash the true Republicans.
John McCain is collapsing because the media and the liberals are no longer interested in using him to embarrass Republicans. McCain thought he had genuine support, and now he is acting like a jilted mistress.
Ron Paul is getting a buzz from Islamic activists posting udner fake Americanized names, and Democrats and liberals who hope to publicize anyone who agrees with the anti-American, Muslim agenda in the Middle East.
The Internet is full of Nigerian millionaires too.
It seems YouTube is infested with these guys. Do a search for Romney or Thompson there, and you’ll come across Paul supporters bashing the videoes and cheering Paul along.
They may be planning an ice-skating party on those frozen lakes down in Hell, too.
