Neither does Krauthammer who believes that once the government demonstrates that it can enforce the border, he has no problem legalizing the people already here. No mention of chain migration and its impact on SS and Medicare/Medicaid. No mention of the demographic impact. The elites just don’t understand the issue or they are acting as shills for corporate and special interest groups.
I too thought the same thing about your news cycle take of we would have forgotten all about the immigration debacle come election time. Problem is here at FR we never stop letting them know about what a true debacle open borders are. So the critters are even dumber than we thought.
As far as GW goes, its difficult to analyzes his thinking unless you bring into play the uniting of the Americas like EC proposed and documented last week. His desire to unite Mexico, Canada, maybe Central America and the US together in a sort of EU under one leaky roof is the only thing that makes sense. Although he should know we will never go for such a fiasco.
So once again everything they(the Congress and ADM.) are doing is just beyond the pale, makes no sense, and only serves to piss all off more than we already were.

Gen Petreus is the next PravdABDNC Boogie Man since they have to make the Surge a failure. They need to dehumanize him so that his testamony can be dismissed as lies in September. The Surge is Working and the left will say it is not and we need to pull out.
