Grassfire info.
Call these Senators and say you oppose this Amendments for Amnesty deal.
Sen. Durbin (202)224-2152
Sen. Obama (202) 224-2854
Key Senators to call:
McConnell 202/224-2541
Lott 202/224-6253
Kyl 202/224-4521
Brownback 202/224-6521
Burr 202/224-3154
Chambliss 202/224-3521
Cornyn 202/224-2934
Hutchison 202/224-5922
Isakson 202/224-3643
Warner 202/224-2023
Webb 202/224-4024
Talking Points (Your calls will carry more weight if you are
polite and respectful!):
1. I understand that Senate leaders are working on a back-room deal that will bring the Amnesty bill back for a vote in exchange for consideration on certain amendments.
2. I oppose this Amendments for Amnesty deal.
3. If you support this deal, then you will forever be listed as a supporter of amnesty.
4. The American people have spoken in opposition to this amnesty bill. I urge you to oppose this deal and the bill.
Yes, see also this link:

This is a very effective way to capture the STAFFER emails for Senators and send a message to them.
I sent a message individually to each Senator’s staff list, so I could address as follows:
“
I am writing to ask you and Senator McConnell to vigorously and publicly oppose
the inherently flawed Senate immigration bill. A cloture vote is a “YES” vote on the bill itself.
Senator McConnell needs to vote “NO” on immigration bill cloture votes, and he needs
to disassociate himself from the notorious back-room deal-makers concocting this stinker.
Senator McConnell is both harming America and destroying the Republican party’s
position in advancing this flawed and very unpopular bill. I expect several Republican
incumbents will lose in 2008 if this bill is passed, and my mind boggles at how out-of-touch
inside-the-beltway politicians are to the level of rejection of this bill among voters.”
WOSG, thanks for the Ping,
Yes that number (888) 534-6226 is a good one...
Just ask the switchboard operator for the senator or congressman/woman of your choice etc...
Have another name ready in case she says that the line is busy ....which happened a lot last week...
The operators are most cooperative...Stay nice..
I don’t see my Senators in that list (NC).
Just say NO to Illegal Alien Amnesty!! Keep calling!! Its NOT OVER!!

PROOF AMNESTY IS A SCAM:
Senator Jim DeMint, Republican of South Carolina, welcomed the presidents support for more spending on border security, but said,
Theres no reason why we should be forced to tie amnesty to it.
Jum DeMint just summed up the entire line of thinking I myself have.
The sellouts in Congress and our president say they will protect the border and provide tamperproof work id systems and technological fence.
Now can anyone tell me the reason we need amensty for 12 million criminals for these three proposals to work on their own?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I’d be most surprised is Cornyn went for the AMNESTY Bill.....
My Sen Alexander has lots of TN people upset in varying shades....

Sen Inhofe’s petition thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1850980/posts?page=72
“U.S. Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.) today announced Secure Borders Now (www.SecureBordersNow.com), a new website for Americans to urge the Senate to consider immigration reform that focuses on enforcing existing border security laws and opposition to amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.”
Burr and Dole are pretty Good. I checked their amendment vote records over the weekend.
There is a blog that has a record on all the Senators and their likelihood of switching. I’ve lost track of it however.
I am trying to find it.

That’s a great site ya’ll have! I don’t know how I missed it.
Thanks, but the credit should really go to Freeper caphillbabe who compiled all of the email addresses, names, and titles of Senate staffers. I only parsed her list for the addresses to make quick, bulk emailing possible. Freeper furgan took my huge list (which email programs balked at) and broke it into smaller blocks that yahoo allows.
You can see caphillbabe's list here at comment #6
