CHICAGO, June 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):
The ISRA is expressing great concern over reports that Illinois State Police (ISP) detectives have been visiting the homes of people who phoned or faxed Sen. Dan Kotowski (D-Park Ridge) to express opposition to gun control legislation sponsored by the senator. The ISRA has recently conducted a thorough investigation into one complaint, and is gathering additional information on as many as several dozen other reported incidents of police questioning citizens who have spoken out against gun control legislation.

Sounds almost like the Nazi’s doesn’t it
Ah, I see the Storm Troopers are getting sent out.
Yup, sounds like I won’t be moving there anytime soon.
Yeah, I live in Blagovich’s Soviet Republic. I will exiting very soon if this keeps up.
Ping!
Thanks
I am one of those who sent him a letter.
Have not shown up yet.
I will keep you posted.
“I am one of those who sent him a letter.”
“Have not shown up yet.”
Same here.
I would like to be pinged if you get a ‘visit or if you know of others first hand.
Thanks
That’s one arrogant bastard.
It's like someone shipped over a bunch of anarchists and syndicalists a century ago and they still haven't assimilated.
Think twice about bringing in folks from countries to the South where fascist tendencies have brought on decade after decade of rolling revolution and burtal, iron-fisted dictators.
Programs to force Americanization and full attitudinal and moral assimilation have to be in place before this country can deal with any higher levels of immigration than we have had heretofore, yet the current bill in the Senate doesn't propose spending a single dime for that purpose.
Good job of getting this up! Thanks.
Daley is an Eastern European surname? Who knew?
Sure, they're there some times, and sometimes even all the time, but not always all the time.
Well stated and agree completely.
Think twice about bringing in folks from countries to the South where fascist tendencies have brought on decade after decade of rolling revolution and burtal, iron-fisted dictators.
But Chavez likes to give heating oil to friends like Kennedy. Jimmah Peanut, Cindy Sheehan, and Danny Glover have all been welcomed too. Maybe they figure if they're nice he'll spare them the brutality.
....Lincoln
Yep, even the Devil himself can appear to do 'good' to further his nefarious ends.
Actually, Illinois gave Lincoln employment, and little more than that. He was born in Kentucky and raised in Indiana.
I hate Illinois Nazis.
The Blues Brothers
I'm not from Illinois, I'm from Oklahoma.
But I did see this press release posted on OKGOPChat.com.
After reading it, I thank G** I don't live in Illinois.
People wonder why there's so much distrust in our goverment and so much animosity between the politicians and those they're supposed to serve. They need look no further than this.
This kind of police reaction to people exercising their first amendment right to petition the goverment for a redress of greivances is what leads to a tremendous amount of distrust in our elected officials. If the officials don't start showing a willingness to change their attitudes and start showing some respect towards those they're supposed to serve, they may well find themselves out of a job or facing mass protests from these constituents.
Respect is not a one way street. It's earned, not gained by sending people in brown and blue suits to someone's house just becuase you don't like that person's reaction to your legislative proposals.
What this Illinois State Senator did is dumb, stupid and idiotic.
And quite frankly he does not belong in any elected office with this kind of an attitude.
I can tell you here in Oklahoma that if any of our elected officials pulled this kind of a stunt, he or she would be out of a job in a New York second.
Regards........
Hopefully you never get one of those visits.
However, if that should happen, it sure would be grand to have a clear video/audio for utube!
I am one of those who sent him a letter.
Have not shown up yet.
Me thee
This is a Democrat crying wolf to lend crediance to his attempt to grab our rights.
