"The Republicans are dead in the water, and we need to put our foot on their necks and drown them."

If she was ever taken seriously, this might cause some outrage.

Rep. Maxine Waters:

a December 2004 LA Times investigation revealed how members her family have made more than $1 million in the previous eight years by doing business with companies, candidates and causes that Waters has helped. Before publication of the Times investigation Waters declined to be interviewed, but said of her family members:

“They do their business, and I do mine.”

Stinks to high heaven Ms Waters.

Notice the new mantra, “right-wing talk shows” ???

You’ve suddenly heard it a LOT this week.

And so begins the push for “the Fairness Doctrine”, and government imposed censorship...

I would hope that most FReepers can see this article for what it is.

But I will take a minute to counter two things she referred to, and that is candidates are not addressing poverty or race. Well, a mature, educated and godly person shouldn’t need to address race, but perhaps individuals. There are good, bad and indifferent of these in all races.

As for poverty, if she wants a bigger handout, a handout does not benefit anyone. It actually cripples them! My favorite saying on that subject is, “give a man a fish and he becomes dependent on you. Give a man a fishing pole, and that man becomes a fisherman.” It’s high time we turn back to the Bible for our moral principles and expected responsibilities. That is up to the individual, not to a candidate for president to address.

Duncan Hunter has expressed more about restoring industrial manufacturing back to this country. This would provide healthy, well paying jobs, jobs which have been outsourced to third world countries.

He has addressed and sponsored bills signed into law about securing our borders so that illegals do not swarm our country, taking jobs employers offer for lower wages - jobs
which used to pay well to American workers, who are put out of work by those illegals.

Those are the two points I am countering. The Democrats offer the handouts. The Republicans, at least Rep. Hunter, tells us to stand on our own two feet, be men and women, fathers and mothers, wage earners and nurturers.

I suggest in closing, turn from your sins, repent of them, change your evil ways, and follow God’s manual for the good life, the Holy Bible. True peace will follow.

Wow... someone must have poked old Maxine with a stick... didn't know she was still "kicking."

Hope someone reminded her that we're still fighting a war on terror. She can now go back to sleep Rip van Winkle-style.

Maxine is the BRAINS of the Democrat Party. The REPUBLICAN PARTY IS DEAD if they pass this hideous illegal immigration bill, where the illegals don’t have to pay BACK TAXES!!!

I’m so sick of “the poor” I could throw up.
$6 trillion plus ain’t enough? Drop dead.
The “war on poverty” is lost - - time to pull out.
