Right after opening the new Congress in January, the Senate's Democratic Leadership introduced a bill that neatly outlined the thrust of U.S. Democracy-building efforts abroad:
"It should be the policy of the United States," the bill said, " ...to use instruments of United States influence to support, promote, and strengthen democratic principles, practices, and values, including the right to free, fair, and open elections, secret balloting, and universal suffrage."
Now that Democrats are poised to eliminate secret ballots from the workplace, Americans are right to ask a simple question: "Huh?"

Two things liberals can’t stand are secret ballots and free speech.
And that’s a good thing. Everyone can see it.
Burn Washington, DC to the ground!!
the liberals I know believe they must be corrupt to fight the greater corruption: republicans.
These people are psychotic politicos.
Yeah, everyone could see it if the MSM covered it, but they won’t.
McConnell talking out of othe sides of his mouth. Wants to protect secret ballots, but making secret deals to allow the Immigration Bill clear passage... agreeing to only submit amendments which can be watered down and not rock the boat...
American can’t be trusted to vote as the Democrats tell them to vote, so they’ve got to have some sort of enforcement mechanism. It starts with knowing how you’re voting. After they know that, then it’s just a matter of retribution if you vote wrong.

Yes, I’ve observed the same among libs. The ends always justifies the means and they are such GOOD people and mean so well, dontcha know.
Although as the stakes get higher - as in the survival of western civilization - I have to admit that I have now joined the “you have to break some eggs to make an omelet” crowd. Don’t even bother to tell me that will make me just like them. What it makes me is someone who wants to do what it takes to win.
And I still take into consider human nature instead of just passing yet another set of laws to somehow change the human nature of my fellow humans. And also don’t use class warfare to achieve my ends.
As for the card signing, the county office where my daughter works was approached by a ‘union’ represenatative. Of course in front of everyone, the employees signed cards. During the ‘secret ballot’ the issued failed. Now, with this coming up, 10 people have found other jobs. Those that left sited they did not believe people in public service should be in a union. It was distruptive. (They knew because the last county office they worked in was closed down by a strike and duties were reallocated.)
But I can see them changing the rules of the House and Senate to allow secret ballots in order to give them the ability to lie their a$$es off about voting for or against a particular bill.
