When parents and other authority figures fail to establish boundaries regarding sexual behavior, children and young adults have nothing to rebel against. It's their job to push the limits, granted, but what happens when no one has the guts to set limits?
The lefties have been busy for decades attacking the family, stripping parents of the right to enforce discipline so much that many parents are reduced to simply catering to the wants of their children. And the government itself can't (or won't) enforce its own laws (see the amnesty scandal for an example).
In a society where the authority figures are impotent and the moral foundation is gone, why should any limits or enforcement thereof be expected? Why should the liberals be crying now about the problems they directly created?
As for the Duke lacrosse players, they are innocent and to say anything otherwise is slander (oral) or libel (written). As for their "large financial settlement," well, college is expensive, especially so for these three, given their legal bills and the hell they have been through, so it's quite deserved.
