Business loves Hillary?!

Oh, they mean the lobbyist business, alien smuggling business, abortion business, infotainment television business, hair and makeup business, plus-size phe-male haute-couture business, paper-shredding business, electronic surveillance business, construction and lawn care business, litigation business, food service and hospitality business, etc., etc.

Silly

p.s. Please note my new tagline.

We need to start a magazine called “The Modern Progressive”. Fill it full of liberal tripe, schedules for Grateful Dead Concerts. Lists of the best soup kitchens around the country, where to buy Birkenstocks, retailers that will cash welfare checks etc.

Then when major elections roll around, the magazines will endorse conservative candidates.

Many companies seem to have a definite liberal bent. They are so terrified of offending anyone that they seem to be giant politically correct mindless, soulless machines.

And big business seems to like big government. They can talk free market all they like, but govt regulation helps to favor the large players who know how to deal with the regulation. It helps keep competitors out of their market space.

What buisness really thinks of Hillary

A presidential bust of Hillary Clinton unveiled at the Museum of Sex on August 9, 2006. Accentuating her sexual power and bolstered by the presidential seal, The Presidential Bust of Hillary Rodham Clinton: The First Woman President of the United States of America will be officially open for public viewing on August 9 for a limited six week run.

I agree. You see it all the time. Businesses kiss the butt of the very people who have sworn to destroy them. An additional aspect of this though might be that big business would love to have a socialist in office who would institute one payer health care(taking that responsibility out of their hands) and maybe even an expansion of social welfare/retirement programs(also taking that off their bottom line). Most big companies are global today and don’t care a whit about this country and its future just what is best for the company’s coffers. Having the government take over those high budget items like they do in Europe probably looks awfully good to big global concerns like GM, Ford etc. Add in open borders with lots of cheap labor to keep the unions in check and a Hillary starts to look pretty good.

I don’t like breck boy, but his two Americas is truer than a lot on FR would like to admit. Trust me the powers that be in big business wouldn’t mind in the least seeing that trend continue if it means more bucks in the company’s coffers at the expense of the working stiff and the tax payers.

Don't confuse a magazine about business with business. This is still the mainstream media, remember. And the media really, really, really wants a female President, and that means Hillary. The media desperately wanted a female Speaker to come out of the '06 elections, and pulled out all the stops to get it. This is just one more of the mainstream media falling in line to cheer-lead for a Hillary! Presidency.

Sad thing is, the way things look now, they'll probably get it, unlike Republicans/conservatives can come together behind whomever emerges from the primaries, and not tear each other apart over who is the more "pure" conservative. That is the road to yet another defeat. I sure hope we don't go down it once again, because when we're defeated and Hillary! gets in, it will be the end of the Republic as we've known it.

I am curious to know if its Fortune mag (part of CNN/Time Warner) that endorsed her, or actual businesses.

Why would anyone in business read Fortune magazine? It is just a bunch of ads disguised as news surrounded by ads.

Exactly!! Socialist president Hillary works out just fine for the largest corporations. They can hire people to deal with insane regulations (compliance) and deal with them in court. Small businesses have a hard time doing this.

Hillary style socialism means the Feds will have lots more dealings with major corporations because these are their cash cows. To be milked to pay for socialist schemes. The compliant corporations will play ball with Hillary to get preferential treatment and to avoid her cudgel

Sad thing is ... Republicans/conservatives [will] tear each other apart over who is the more "pure" conservative

That is the danger many are failing to see. If the Rudy haters (I am a FredHead myself) sit it out during the generals over Rudy, it's pretty much Hara Kiri for the GOP. This damnation of a woman will stop at nothing and use every bit of power available to her to ensure her reelection in 2012.

"They can hire people to deal with insane regulations (compliance) and deal with them in court. Small businesses have a hard time doing this."

Socialists would be happy to run all small businesses into the ground. It leaves them with fewer big guys to regulate.

They hate private property ownership. Note that they love renters. They subsidize renters. When they get the chance, they regulate those who own rental units. Most urban voters are renters. Renters like to regulate private property owners.

Tick, tick, tick.
