"Is that your idea of reasoned discourse? Grow up."

Is your idea of a reasonable discourse.....

The wife of some totally hypocrite BS artist who made millions shamming juries being considered a reasonable candidate for President ambushing a critic during an impromptu interview without warning?

Is it that the Left should be free to rant all day and all night on night all over the media including sit com dialogues, around the clock TV talk programs, the nightly so called NEWS Programs is OK with you?

Is it your opinion that the Left should be free to abuse the Courts in ways that the Founders likely never even imagined  with obtuse convoluted reasoning in a myriad of long range impacting Decisions without a Herald to show the improperness of it all?

You got a case of the ass against Ann Coulter?

Well then I got an attitude about you.

That marvelous woman has done more to enlighten us all in just a few short years than anything that I have heard from you.

Take your crappy condescendent attitude to someplace where you will not encounter the  retorts of Neanderthals such as myself, or the legion of folks who I trust are in accord with my sentiment.

Wise up.

Matthews: "Why do you bring up the word, ‘chubby?' Why do you make fun of Hillary's chubby legs?"

Coulter: "I, I don't know, you're going to have to give me the sentence. And I think-"

Matthews: "It's in the afterward of your book, I just read it this morning."

Coulter: "Well read the sentence!"

Matthews: "We'll, we'll be back and read the entire sentence. We're gonna come right back, I don't know why we're reading, the full intellectual context will be coming in a moment."

Coulter: "Thank you."

Not sure if Chris Matthews ever got around to reading that "chubby" quote IN CONTEXT, but my guess is that it went something like THIS, from www.anncoulter.com:

Party of Rapist Proud to be Godless
by Ann Coulter
June 14, 2006

I thought I'd put off that column on ethanol subsidies I'd been planning to write this week and instead address the topic that has so riveted the nation — the hot new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism."

First of all, I'm getting a little fed up with people trying to make money off my book. Worthless little cable TV shows with teeny-tiny audiences, ridiculous legislators and tabloid newspapers are all trying to make a name for themselves off the profundity of "Godless."

Second, let's pause for a moment to observe that two facts are now universally accepted: Liberals are godless and Hillary's husband is a rapist.

My book makes a stark assertion: Liberalism is a godless religion. Hello! Anyone there? I've leapt beyond calling you traitors and am now calling you GODLESS. Apparently, everybody's cool with that. The fact that liberals are godless is not even a controversial point anymore.

In addition to the consensus position that liberals are godless, no one has made a peep about that swipe I took at Hillary, proposing that she have a chat with her husband before accusing others of being "mean" to women in light of Juanita Broaddrick's charge that Bill Clinton raped her. Hillary beat a hasty retreat on her chubby little legs and is now hiding behind Rahm "Don't Touch My Tutu" Emanuel.

Yes, the Democrats' pit bull, Rahm Emanuel, is a former ballerina. And they wonder why the concerted effort of the MSM (as we call the mainstream media) and the Democratic Party can't lay a finger on me. A ballerina. Hey, if the padded, silky shoe fits ...

Actually, it was this comment that got my response:

She has absolutely nothing productive to offer - only catty comments, and self-absorbed rants. Her mindset is no more reasoned than that of Al Franken or Bill Maher

Have you ever read one of her books? Godless and Slander were extremely thought-provoking and incitefully revealing. However, I must warn you in advance, those books don't contain pictures.

You don’t even get invective humor so your opinion really doesn’t matter. There is a world of difference between Queen Ann and Frankenstein/Mahair.

For Cwissy not to warn Ann about this ambush is beyond the pale, even for a Rat. Course Ann left two press corpses in her wake.

"The first party to start stepping up and being the bigger type of person first is the party that will enjoy huge victories for a long time to come"

Uh, I don't know what cave you've been living in for the past 30 years, but Liberals have a corner on the market on hatred. Bush lied, people died, Bush=Hitler, Cheney is torturing innocent people, our soldiers are like Pol Pot. And statements like this come from elected DEMOCRATS. What their minions in the press say is even more unspeakable. Republicans on the other hand continue to play by Marquis of Queensbury rules and bend over backwards to be nice to liberals like Ted Kennedy. Bush has continuously extended the hand of friendship to democrats and they've gnawed his arm off. As "bad" as Ann Coulter is, has she ever literally been gleeful over a liberals death, like your friend Bill Maher did over Jerry Falwell?

My perception is different than yours.

Pelosi is actively causing the deaths of American soldiers and selling my country down the drain.

Ann Coulter is making logical points about the extreme rot of the democratic party.
This extreme rot is personified by a largely liberal media, hollywood elitists, Duke Lacrosse hating effete college professorial snobs, the Jesse Jackson/Louis Farrakhan/NAACP racist pigs, the abortion baby killers, those who support the criminals over their victims (ACLU), those who legislate a Fairness Doctrine to shut down conservative groups in violation of the first amendment, those who want to rape our immigration protection laws, etc. etc. etc.

I appreciate Coulter exposing their extreme hypocrisy.

I love Ann. She is so quick even in an ambush. Edwards had to hide and jump out to even get a point in. I guess she thought ambush is a southern hospitality.

All three of the commentators you mention engage in polemtic speech, and so has Chris Matthews, it’s what they do. I’m tired of liberals trying to shame me into disliking people like AC on ideological basis.

It’s going to get even worse because I think most people actually like it. Playing nice could have something to do with the current situation we’re in.

It’s great you want to take the high road, but AFAIC, dealing with the left is like talking to a ten-year-old - you can either act ten yourself or be an adult, but you’re still talking to a child.

Ranting in a larger font is just that - ranting.

Like I said above - the first party to start acting like grownups will win HUGE.

Ann and her groupies sure aren’t fostering that mindset - in fact, they (read:you) are only fanning the flames of a fire that are doing this country more harm than good - no matter how much you want to foam at the mouth, declare yourself a true patriot, and post in a size 18 bolded font.

Was what Matthews did snakish? Absolutely. But Ann acted like Ann always acts, which is the conservative version of
Sean Penn.

I'm sure Coopster has bone fides to put Ann's to shame, but her's ain't bad, all the same.

... as an undergraduate at Cornell, Coulter helped found The Cornell Review, and was a member of the Delta Gamma national women's fraternity. She graduated cum laude from Cornell in 1984, and received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where she achieved membership in the Order of the Coif and was an editor of the Michigan Law Review. At Michigan, Coulter founded a local chapter of the Federalist Society and was trained at the National Journalism Center.

After law school, Coulter served as a law clerk for Pasco Bowman II of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Kansas City. After a short time working in New York City in private practice, where she specialized in corporate law, Coulter left to work for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee after the Republican Party took control of Congress in 1994. She handled crime and immigration issues for Senator Spencer Abraham of Michigan, and helped craft legislation that made it easier to deport aliens convicted of felonies. She later became a litigator with the Center For Individual Rights.

Ahhh, so credentials are what qualifies one to be a horse’s ass to those who don’t agree with you?

Must be why I am so polite.

And it must also mean that many here have bone fides at least equaling, and in many cases exceeding Ms. Coulter’s.

“she carries herself very well in a one-on-one”

Just think how she would have done if she had KNOWN she was gonna to be in one on one with Mrs. Ex Sen. ExLax.

Ann should really know better than to go so far with something like a bumper sticker that says “Ask me about my dead son”, whatever the context of that was three years ago, it’s hard to imagine anything that could have justified using it to make a political point. If anybody knows, please tell me. OTOH, the relentlessly intrusive and invasive attempt to politicize everything in the last election by Kerry and especially Elizabeth Edwards, who apparently just could not resist continually bringing up Mary Cheney’s being a Lesbian, “outing” her as the Left LOVES to do, because, after all, being a Lesbian, in Elizabeth Edwards’s words, made her “fair game”< F**k Mrs.
Edwards, Ann is just evening the score, whatever it was she meant by that remark. Mrs. Edwards, like her husband is a charlatan, and a scam artist.

Coulter: "-and you instantly interrupted me. As I was saying, doing these psychic routines in front of illiterate juries to bankrupt doctors, who now can't deliver babies. And to charge a, a poverty group $50,000 for a speech. Don't talk to me about, about how to use language."

Ouch, that will leave a mark....

Edwards reminds me of Longshanks' Son in Braveheart. My Gosh, the Dems bench is worse than the Detroit Tigers bench a few years ago, they have nobody...

I’d still disgree with you. I come from what used be called ‘country club” Republicans, who thought politeness and compromise was integral to the art of politics.

It might be the ideal, but just look around, poor results.
