FreeRepublic is not a Bushbot site - its mission statement doesn’t say so. We do have a loud, unthinking minority of bots who reside here, especially on certain “daily” threads, but that doesn’t mean that the rest of FR shares their unthinking hero worship.

And I very much don't admire El Presidente Jorge Bush. I think he has done far more damage to the United States than have Jane Fonda, John Kerry or Jimmy Carter.

I think you are seeing the conservatives split from the Republican party in allegiance. People aren’t going to say they are “Republican” as often anymore, but that they are “conservative” or “libertarian.” A lot of us were deluded for a long time that the party represented “us;” that underneath the coalition building and political calculations, the Republican candidate would have fundamentally 19th century liberal type values . . . free markets, individual rights, limited government. We pulled the lever for whoever they put in front of us and didn’t get that involved. Gave directly to the party organizations, etc. That’s been shown to be a mistake. I say hang ‘em high, fund the primary challengers, stay true to our ideals, and don’t trust the party as it currently is constituted.

Some of us had a handle on this tool of the NWO for a looonngg time and said so — and have the third degree burns to prove it.
Bush isn't up for election. There is no other guy.
I don't hate any politician. They're working under already limited mental capabilities. That being said I don't 'love' any politician either. And I'm definitely not proud of them.
Bush is a politician that doesn't respect the Constitution. He's a hack. That's not good or bad, it just is. That doesn't make him any better or worse than the other 537 (minus a select few) jackasses currently in office.
I despise Gore/Kerry but, frankly, they would be -- at least at this point -- doing us less dammage.
The WORST thing is to have a traitor or a moron in charge of YOUR OWN house.
No Dem president could convert us to MexAmerica. Without WH pressure, the Republicans would be united and could easily kill this thing in the senate, even with a minority.
Bush is an absolute dissaster who is splintering our country, the conservative movement, and the Republican party. This is ground that will probably never be recovered. No Democrat could do that to us. Personally, I'd like to see him put on trial.
Did not say I like them said they may have more insight into GW than I did. Every day it looks more that way. My little way of protesting would be to put a bumper sticker on my car. I’ve tried everything else and he does not hear anyone conservative anymore.
After reading through this thread, I don’t think we will ever see the Republican party back in power (after 2008) in my life time.
And yeah, Bush's better than Gore and the other dems - and he's not stupid, but he's also not one of us.
I don't want second class citizens in my country. I don't have any problem with Mexicans being citizens - but I want them as equals. I want to look at my brown skilled neighbor and see "American", not "someone who's so pathetic" they'll do the sh_t work ...
