You are a bitter person aren't you, but go ahead and hate private business, but personally I don't want to go down the road of your centrally planned paradise of North Korea where tree bark is a sumptuous feast.
He's just a typical politician -- no better and no worse than the rest of the lot.
Did he ever claim to be more than that? Did he give you cause to believe him.
When I still supported Bush, I used to go to that thread. I remember most of the regulars seemed like sweet, Christian grandmother types. I guess they're not so sweet when someone dares to criticize their Idol!
I can understand your severe distaste for Bush’s immigration proposals, but isn’t it a bit too much to say that he is diabolical? Such hysterics may be appropriate for DU but not FR.
Apparently you are unaware of the process for self-petitioning.
Some lawyers have built their entire practice around it.
Apparently you still haven’t returned to reality?
Business reaps the profits of their imported slaves, and the rest of America foots the bill for their health care, education, etc. through their taxes. Sounds like a fair deal to you?
And what happens when these former illegals want their share of Social Security?
As far as me being bitter, if you cut out the Marx business, I’ll cut out the Yacht Club cracks. OK, Spalding?
I agree 100%.
When Bush was criticized by the left I stuck up for him. I posted in USENET that he was right and they were wrong. On many occasions and issues Bush caved and all but admitted the left was right and he was wrong. Made me look like an idiot.
Example: Gitmo. I'm against closing Gitmo. Now the WH makes my GITMO stance appear to be wrong. They have plans on closing it.
"BRING IT ON!" I said "Go Mr. President! Finally A President who's not afraid to face the terrorists. Since then Bush has said that it's a statement he now regrets. Makes me look like an idiot.
Mission Accomplished. We all know the truth behind the sign and whose mission it was that was accomplished. The Bush WH caved to the left on this.
Iraq's WMD. The WH caved to the left on this while I was out there in discussion boards telling the left that we did not go to Iraq because of WMD. We went there because of Saddam's connection to terrorism and his failure to abide by the ceasefire agreement. The WMD threat only determined that we should go there sooner rather than later.
I stuck up for Gonzales. I argued with the dems that Bush had a right to fire them. Clinton fired many more than Bush did. But Gonzales admitted "mistakes were made".
This list goes on folks...
How are statistics personal opinions??? The numbers speak for themselves even without commentary.
You can sling around silly insults all day if you like.
The law still provides for self-petitioning and you can't change it by pretending it doesn't.
I think quite a few here agree with me. Probably more than agree with you.
So get over it.
Huh so evil toilet cleaner Jose is the reason fore the health and education mess.
Interesting that you don't mention the real reasons for the mess, the entrenched govt. school beauacracy and trial lawyers.
Oops, I forgot they are of your correct skin hue, nevermind.
It is truly remarkable how many folks on FR have the psychic power to look into a President's mind and know his thoughts and intents. Truly remarkable. Perhaps the power comes from wearing a tinfoil hat.
You may disagree with GWB about immigration. But your statments would have alot more credibility if you limited your comments to a reasonable discussion of the Senate bill and a critique of it. Overly dramatic ad hominem attacks on someone are not particularly persuasive and demean the credibility of this board.
NAFTA isn’t working out the way they had it planned. This is another Mexican bailout, in a different form.
Michelle Malkin's personal opinions are personal opinions: I never said statistics were personal opinions - although they can be drawn up solely for the purposes of providing "empirical" justifications for personal opinions.
The numbers speak for themselves even without commentary.
Raw numbers cannot speak for themselves. They have to be interpreted.
And that chart, as presented, is quite deceptive.
They’re not the cause, but they sure are going to make it a ton worse.
Race-bating? Unbelievable. Straight out of the Sharpton canon. Doesn’t this set off alarm bells in your head, like you’ve seen liberals do this to conservatives for all these years?
You do know that you just implied that everyone who has a problem with illegal immigration is a bigot, right??? This has nothing to do with skin color, or national origin (there are MANY illegal immigrants here from places other than Mexico). My sister is half-Mexican, and all of the LEGAL Mexican immigrants I worked with are against this bill, too. Stop painting this as some racist issue, when it most clearly is not.
The Mexican illegal immigrants are just the most widely represented due to proximity, and due to their own actions (i.e. “A Day without Illegals” protest, and their carrying of Mexican Flags, etc....). So, it is really no wonder that people are fixated on Mexican Illegal Immigrants.
As far as the Teachers’ Unions, and the Trial Lawyers. You forget about the millions of taxpayer dollars that go to finance public school educations for the children of illegal immigrants (including those who are NOT so-called anchor babies). You also forget that it is much easier for minorities to get admission to college based upon the unconstitutional affirmative action laws — and many of these students are ILLEGAL aliens who are taking spots that should be going to CITIZENS of any ‘race’ first.
You also forget the MILLIONS of dollars in bills at emergency rooms around the country for illegal immigrants who use these facilites for their reg. medical care, and then the taxpayers, and others who use these services are caught holding the bag. (You don’t think the Falsified ID is used JUST for getting jobs, do you???).
To blame the teacher’s unions, and trial lawyers for healthcare and education costs ignores half of the picture, especially in areas where there is an extremely large illegal alien population.
Uh. You are the one who thinks that GWB is diabolical... but, okay. Do you feel better now?
