When was Bush passing out the fish and bread? I must have missed that one!
La Dita... did you get your share? Dang I miss out on all the good stuff....
(back to work!).
;~ )
I am saying conservative border bots stayed home because they were tired of RINOS dominating the Congress.
That is all it takes.
Many suspect the lame turnout was GWB and his minions running a bad campaign for 2006 candidates to purposefully get rid of conservatives to push his immigration stance.
Remember how happy he was he had a Congress he could work with on immigration?
Conservatives were blamed, but they voted. How many times have conservatives relented and held their noses to support these liberal RINO’s like Bush, McCain, and Linseed?
Well no more.
But what did he do (and do I really need Spiff's charts showing lack of enforcement here?) he failed us.
Now it appears he never wanted a guest worker program, just a compete disruption of the "R" Party.
But we'll coalesce and beat back Hillary and her minions instead.
Is there any sort of polling to support this? The lack of polling doesn't make it wrong.. we all have our opinions on what drives portions of the electorate, etc. But, I have seen nothing to suggest that conservatives stayed home. I find it far more likely that moderates of both parties were annoyed by the GOP corruption.
And he’s not even that old (to be acting like a dotty old man)! And Reagan wasn’t that dotty even with the onset of ALzheimers!
My Mom thinks there is something Bush and his cronies are fearing like some kind of revolution in Mexico (though this doesn’t make sense to me as we are supposed to SUPPORT democracy - what about all the crap about Iraq?). I really have no clue. Voted for him 2x myself and still support the war on (dare we say it) Islamofundamentals.
Kol tuv.
If you’re going to reply it would be helpful to follow all of the referenced posts so as to know what your talking about.
“Congress really needs to show that it can come together on hard issues.”
6/28/07- George W. Bush responding to the defeat of his immigration bill
“Seems nobody is actually interested in “connecting the dots”.”
Indeed. And they can’t claim ignorance either. The dots have been connected for them, but they refuse to even take a peak since being so wrapped up in themselves and senor jorge.
On the streets when the topic senor jorge comes up, all I hear is “I voted for that so and so...and I am done with him and the republicans.”
I think that became self evident in the last election cycle when the dems to back control. So yea, I believe it can now actually be legitimately blamed on senor jorge and the rinos who have hijacked the republican party.
If the republican party doesn’t nominate a constitutional republican this time round, one who has the cahones to stick to his and our principle no matter what, the republican party, as we have known it, is history. I’m hearing this here, and on the streets. Folks are fed up with two faced liars. Many feel they were conned. And yea, they were.
I wasn’t conned, I knew senor jorge was wrong for us. But the alternative was totally unacceptable. So like many, in fear of the alternative, I too held my nose and voted twice for senor jorge. But never again will I compromise my principle.
This time round, I don’t care. If the republican nominee is just another rino (liberal in disguise,) I’ll vote principle, write in if I have too. No rino will get my vote period, no matter what may happen. And from what I am hearing, I am not alone.
No, Sir, you're not alone.
Oh... I followed them alright.... your likening GWB to Jesus is a hoot....
You really need to get a sense of humor.
Just when you think things could not get any sillier.... they defy all odds and go bonkers.
Nope, just telling the truth. You can't deal with it. Tough.
Sorry, but the stats back her up. As I demonstrated, they don't.
You did no such thing. You simply provided SPIN with absolutely no facts at all to back up your worthless assertions. Malkin pointed out on her website that of 3,064 workforce investigations that were closed in 2004, fines were only administered in three of them. That's under one tenth of one percent! Certainly they could have done much better than that.
It is in the field agents' interest to blame the brass and not themselves for decreases in perceived effectiveness.
More B.S.. It is the agents' job to carry out the policies that are created by the brass. A poor/misguided policy will translate into ineffective (real world) enforcement. No one understands that better than the actual field agents themselves. The brass will bow to political pressure as was the case in Galveston.
They are not impartial witnesses.
Actually you are far more likely to get the straight scoop from the agents working on a daily basis in the field than the top brass. The brass has to placate the public and elected officials to protect their jobs as well as their budgetary expenditures. Failure to do so will result in administrative "housecleaning" and budget cuts. So it is in the brass' interest to maintain that their agencies are meeting their objectives despite evidence to the contrary. You are far more likely to encounter "spin" from the brass than the agents themselves.
Again why should anyone take your word over the statements made by the agents...? What do you know that the agents don't...? Your bias has been evident throughout this thread.
The flamboyance is amusing, but I know you read my second bullet point - your failure to address it is more instructive than your response.
Right. Here it is :
Employers' attorneys have gotten much wilier at evading legal liability for false IDs than they were during the Clinton administration, making it much harder to prosecute.
That's in the vein as the "dog ate my homework" excuse. Worthless conjecture on your part. Provide an actual example of a new loophole that is being exploited by corporate attorneys and exactly how it allows them to successfully circumvent the law in a manner that they were not able to do during the Clinton years. I'm sure the brass at I.C.E. would love to hear from you.
Put up or shut up.
bttt
Hey get a life, he’s the president your not.
You may not be a slackedjawed mouthbreather with delusion's of adequacy...but you do a really good impersonation of one.
No kidding -- it's wall to wall.
I like the one about the chainlink fences at Gitmo existing to keep the tennis balls from rolling into Havannah.
Not just FR....
I have Bush Estrangement Syndrome (BES)
And it's spreading....
