I wonder if they have a report where Romney was late in returning his library book.

Well, let’s not stop here. Let’s call any transportation of a dog cruel.
Because my little Boston Terrier who was riding inside the car on the floor of the front passenger side lost his bowels.

Wow! This is seriously going to be an ugly campaign for all involved.

My dog loves the rides with his head into the wind at hiway speedsUh, so do my dogs. This is way different than strapping a carrier to the roof of a car, but you probably know that, right?
If Romney's dog crapped all over the place, I think it's safe to say he wasn't enjoying it and was instead terrified.

Just wait for someone to come forward and say that Romney farted in a dorm room in college.
That would surely piss off the Global Warming nuts.

My parents told me that when I was a baby, they used to make these playpen type devices that went in your backseat. They used to just let me walk around back there when I was a toddler without being restrained in any way. This was long before car seats were the norm.
It doesn't necessarily make them bad parents, things are different now.

25 years ago, how many people used safety belts even on their kids? I remember sleeping in the back window ledge of the car while going down the road on vacation. Ha, no big deal back then.

‘According to the Boston Globe, in one of the family’s 12-hour drives to their family’s cottage in Canada over 25 years ago, Romney strapped a dog carrier to the roof of the car for the whole trip — with the family Irish setter, Seamus, inside. ‘
I can’t believe something like this from 25 years ago is ‘news worthy’.

Useless?
I read a biography last year that touched upon a late 1950s Hollywood gossip rag scandal. A popular actor had to come out in court and admit he was gay.
Fine. A couple of years later, he had a hit tv series until the wire services ran a bogus story that the actor beat his dog for fifteen minutes.
Gay okay. Dog beater, goodbye career. ("...seriousness of the charge, not the nature of the evidence...")
To: jmyrlefuller
I don’t know if it’s a hit piece, but that crud sure is funny!

I went to camp as a youngster. One of the farmers in the area came by to tell us stories around the campfire.
He trained his dog to ride on the top of the pickup truck. I seem to recall the dog was his lookout for some reason.

A couple of weeks ago a girl I know told me that her parents’ dog was sick and couldn’t “go”. They couldn’t afford a vet. I told her to try vegetable or olive oil and see if that worked. She hadn’t said anything so I assumed it had worked. Yesterday she told me that the dog died. He, he, he just (her eyes got wide) EXPLODED! I didn’t ask further.
To: jmyrlefuller
Is this for real, or is it from The Onion? If real, then I have questions about Romney’s basic intelligence.

I think it's safe to say he wasn't enjoying it and was instead terrified. I doubt it. I have a dog carrier that I use from time to time, although I don't strap it to the roof of the car. You ought to see how the airlines stack them in with baggage and freight. The article said the trip was 12 hours. The dog will poop when he needs to go regardless of his situation. If they were too stupid to stop and allow the dog a break to stretch and do his bidness, then that is a different question altogether......
