No, I did not. I said a fence twice the length in the recent bill was signed into law by Bush. YOU said there was 1.2 billion in funding - enough to build almost 200 miles if only half is used.
You have no facts and you have no moral ground to stand on. Go away dirtboy. You sold us down the river.
You are the worst kind of liar - you twist my own words and ignore you own "evidence" that guts your own position.
Show where I said that. Put up or shut up.
However, by YOUR OWN POSTS, there is enough money allocated for over 170 miles of fence. Bush has built 11.
His treason in this matter of the invasion from mexico has made me wish I never voted for him at all.
He is a traitor and he can whistle for support from now on. I won't answer.
Bush has built less than five percent of the amount of fencing FUNDED to date. Yet somehow allocating more money is going to get more fence built? You're a pathetic joke, earthdweller - and a liar.
bttt!
Your underbelly of the beast material is awesome and staggering. I imagine you bring it out often for posting for the many new posters that come on board. Information is vital and you have amassed a overwhelming amount.
Thank you for all the time and effort it required.
A remarkable resource.
It is bound to open the eyes of most thinking persons.
HUNTER: You may be understanding now why the fence hasn't been built yet. You now have the White House basically saying, "We'll make a deal with you. If you pass the amnesty bill, we'll actually put enough money up against border enforcement that we can complete the fence."The president's already signed the bill that mandates 854 miles of border fence. We've got almost $1 billion, cash on hand, right now to build that fence and they've only built a paltry 13 miles in seven months. Now, you've got individual ranchers in this country who have built more fence than the entire government of the United States of America.
HUNTER: So it shows that the administration is not interested in expeditious construction of that fence. They should be interested in expeditious construction of thefence.
Yeah, now we have the most flavorless rockhard tomatoes in history. Automation is not the answer.
More likely the farms will move where the labor is cheaper after you bankrupt the farmers. Course that’s not your problem, you don’t have to worry about bankrupting thousands of evil farmers.
You have your cushy little job and heck with anyone else. Course now there will never be immigration reform or wall and the market can work.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Nah, you have to grow food where farmland is good and productive.
But any business with a business model predicated on illegal labor should be looking at ways to move away from that model. Or maybe we should legalize insider trading as well - so what if it's illegal? It makes money.
I genuinely appreciate your encouraging words- it started as "stories the media would rather not talk about," and morphed into "all the stuff I find on the web you ought to be thinking about."
( Not only is that tagline a true saying, I can still recall my Dad asking me, "Son, a Congressman gets about $50,000 a year salary, but when they die, they leave multimillion-dollar estates- why do you suppose that is?" )
You’re obviously too young to remember a mere twenty years ago most of the jobs currently being done by illegal aliens were done by Americans, and their employers were profitable.
I’ll admit that it may be legitimate to allow immigrant labor for migratory farm work, but that’s it.
But for construction, meat-packing, hotel and restaurant work, anything where the worker generally goes to work in the same location every day, there’s plenty of Americans willing to do those jobs for not a whole lot more money, and a lot less indirect social costs.
It was not Ras. that had the 52% poll which said that they would not vote for Hil. This poll has been quoted for the last week by Rush, Sean and Dennis Miller. My bad that I cannot remember the name of the poll. This was all likely voters not voting under any circumstance for her.
Hey! Lay off Harriet... She's simply fab!
Notice the price of corn lately... or anything made from it or fed by it? Yet, our brilliant leader thinks it's the answer to the energy crisis.
I'm on my way to the refrigerator now to see what else I can run my car on.
Okay, no big deal this early and 47-52% is not statistically significant at this time. But you point is made.
