'My feminism led to lesbianism'
The Times ^ | June 29, 2007 | Nicola Woolcock

Posted on 06/29/2007 12:03:50 PM PDT by TBP

Sue Wilkinson, 53, a university professor, was married for 17 years before the relationship ended in divorce.

She has now been with her female partner, Celia Kitzinger for the same length of time.

The couple married in 2003 in Canada, where same-sex unions are legal. Last year they lost a High Court battle to have their marriage recognised in Britain.

Ms Wilkinson, Professor of Feminist and Health Studies at Loughborough University, said: “I was never unsure about my sexuality throughout my teens or 20s. I was a happy heterosexual and had no doubts. Then I changed, through political activity and feminism, spending time with women’s organisations. It opened my mind to the possibility of a lesbian identity.”

Apparently this sort of change is okay. It is approved by the approval and sensitivity committees.

She was just exercising her “woman’s right to choose”.

But wait, I thought people couldn't change their orientation. Right?

I wonder the same thing about the men who marry, raise a family, and then 20 years later suddenly "discover" they're gay, abandon their family and change their orientation.

I find the author’s name more interesting than the story itself.

Strategically add an "L" to the "partner's" last name and you'll find more to interest you...

This is where Darkwolf377 arrogantly calls the woman a liar then "laughs at Freepers" who believe that the woman is telling the truth.

Just one more published, documented, lie, huh?

Ms. Kitzinger is one “l” away from being a punchline herself.

She didn't change it. She was always bisexual (women aren't as discretely homosexual or heterosexual as men). She just hadn't previously realized it. She always had a choice.

I so don’t understand this. Let’s just say for argument’s sake Kurt Russell (or some other major Hollywood hunk) comes by for an evening of romance. You’re going to send him on his way cause you’re waiting around the house for kd lang or Rosie O’Donnell to come by? That’s my definition of insane.

(By the way Kurt, if you’re reading this call me!!!!)

It is my personal opinion that the following should be sternly taught by the Word and by motherly example to all girls before even pre-puberty:

Proverbs 31:10 10-30

“10: Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11: The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12: She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13: She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14: She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15: She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 16: She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17: She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18: She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19: She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20: She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21: She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22: She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. 23: Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. 24: She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25: Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26: She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27: She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28: Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29: Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30: Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 31: Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates”.

To coin a phrase from “Steel Magnolias”: Feminism is (instead of “you are”) evil and must be destroyed.
