Attorney: Nowak didn't wear diapers [ Asstronaut Alert! ]

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Was the astronaut really wearing a diaper? It depends on which story you believe.
Late-night comedians had a field day with the story of an astronaut who drove more than 900 miles from Houston to Orlando to confront a romantic rival -- while wearing diapers so she wouldn't have to stop.
But now, an attorney for former astronaut Lisa Nowak says his client wasn't wearing diapers during the trip, calling the story "an absolute fabrication." He made the remarks after filing motions to suppress evidence in Nowak's criminal case.
The tidbit that Nowak wore diapers during her trip is written in the police report filed after Nowak's arrest in February. The diaper detail even inspired an episode of the N-B-C show "Law and Order."
The attorney says there were toddler-size diapers in her car when she was arrested, but they were several years old.
