Rep. Waters Has Activist Arrested Over Amnesty
The New Media Journal ^ | June 30, 2007 | Nina May

Posted on 06/30/2007 8:48:37 AM PDT by NewMediaJournal

To say the amnesty bill was an emotional issue is an understatement. The Capitol Hill phones rang non-stop, causing some members to simply unplug them and turn off their answering machines. They were hearing from their constituents that they don’t want this amnesty bill to pass and they were ignoring these pleas.

But to have a citizen arrested because they disagree is beyond the pale and begs the question, why do they care more about illegal aliens than they do their own constituents?

Homeless activist, Ted Hayes, was on Capitol Hill, like thousands of other citizens who make unscheduled visits to their congressional offices, and to other offices that don’t represent their congressional district. There is an open door policy on Capitol Hill and anyone who has been there or worked there knows it.

I believe this is on topic in that it makes the point that visiting these people in WASHINGTON — hat in hand in the role of a subordinate — is an expensive and stupid mistake. That’s THEIR turf. It WAS OUR turf. If we do this right, perhaps we can reclaim it.

Years ago, Congressman and medical doctor Larry McDonald was working late in his Capitol Hill office when an old friend from medical school knocked on his door. Larry rose and greeted his guest and, after exchanging the usual pleasantries, looking a bit dejected, his friend slumped into a chair.

Larry asked him what was wrong.

With a little sigh, his friend said “Every few years, a group of us have to take time away from our practices and jobs and come all the way up here to meet with our representatives and senators to try to head off some new effort to trash the Constitution. And I often get the feeling that these guys up here just aren’t listening.”

Laughing, Larry offered, “You do know, don’t you, that there’s a better way?”

“What’s that, Larry?”

“You and your friends ought to get together at home and find a House candidates who shares your values and get behind him with support and resources and REPLACE those guys who aren’t listening. And if there is no candidate with those qualifications, go out and CREATE one – maybe even run yourself! And if, down the road, the new guy stops listening to you, work to replace HIM. The beauty of the House of Representatives is that the Founding Fathers designed it so that these folks have to come home every 24 months to get their tickets punched by the voters. And as we both know, the taxing and spending occur in the House. If the lower house refused to fund some liberty destroying or unconstitutional agency or program, it just won’t happen.”

“But, Larry, how do we convince the rest of the voters that the incumbent needs to be replaced?”

“That used to be a real challenge since poll after poll asking folks what they thought of congress usually got very negative answers. But when asked how they thought THEIR guys were doing up here got responses indicating that THEIR guys were doing a good job. There’s a new program called Tax Reform Immediately (TRIM) that uses only one yardstick for its quarterly rating of every member of congress – the United States Constitution.” (http://www.trimonline.org)

“Does it work, Larry?”

“One of my favorite stories about that is the 16 year-old paperboy out in the Midwest who every quarter paid to have 10,000 TRIM Bulletins printed and threw them on his route and in another 9,500 lawns in his district – FROM HIS BIKE! After 3 quarters of that, the incumbent was ousted for someone who more closely represented the views of the voters. On election night, the red-faced loser was interviewed on TV and, waving a TRIM Bulletin, sputtered that it was a right-wing plot to “get him.” It was GREAT TV.”

“A ‘plot’ by a 16 year-old paperboy.” Larry and his guest laughed.

“And it’s happening all over the country – even in my state, Georgia. My supporters down there are keeping the voters in the 7th informed about my votes up here. Since my only standard is the Constitution, they keep sending me back. So it works both ways: The good guys get reelected and the bad guys get sent home – or hang around as lobbyists.” Another chuckle.

“But what about the presidential election?”

“While important, if we had 300 or so decent representatives up here on the Hill, they’d take back much of the power they’ve shipped down to 1600 over the past years and the 4 year beauty contest would become far less important than it now is. A metaphor for these elections for president, representatives and senate is a 3 card Monte game: While everyone is focused on the card marked with the “P,” the “R” and “S” cards are largely ignored.”

Larry continued.

“After the last election, I boarded a plane to Washington here in Atlanta and just happened to be seated next to another representative who had changed planes at Hartsfield. This guy never met a tax or spending bill he didn’t love. About 1 hour – and his 2 or 3 adult beverages – into the flight, he chuckled. I asked him what was so funny.”

“Looks like we fooled the voters – again!”

Larry’s friend returned home, got his friends and neighbors up to speed with TRIM – and within a year, had a new and improved representative.

why do they care more about illegal aliens than they do their own constituents?

The answer is easy. Socialists, such as Waters, are using illegal immigration as a tool to further their goal of replacing our Democratic Republic with Socialism. The socialists want to grant amnesty to millions of unskilled uneducated people who violate our laws knowing they will become dependent on the government for their existence thereby creating a strong centralized from of government socialists desire instead of admitting the multitude of educated and skilled foreigners who have been waiting years to enter the country legally.

Now is not the time to let up. We need to pressure our politicians to enforce the existing immigration laws including deporting illegal aliens, building the fence and prosecuting businesses who do business with illegal aliens. The link below is a ping list to pay attention for other questionable legislation being considered in Congress.

Only because WE have permitted and facilitated that attitude.

I honest-to-God think modern Americans lust after some sort of ROYALTY here. Praise be to the Founding Fathers that they forbade it here.

Or did they?

That’s an interesting guy to be arrested over amnesty - but it makes perfect sense. Its not white collar guys most in competition with illegals - its the guys competing directly with them for housing and jobs.

I can understand Maxines angst. After all she is an elected black Queen.
She doesnt have to mix with the peasants of her race or any other race.

I wonder what she was promised for her vote?

I always knew the Congressional Black Caucus was racist, now I find some of them are elitist as well.

Maxine shouldnt have had to be told what the Amnesty bill would do to blacks from this man, As a black she should have known it herself. Obviously her loyalty to the Dem party is even stronger than her loyalty to her race.Either that or the pork was exceptional.

I’m just speaking from memory but I don’t think he asked for any government remedy for having his rent raised for being a Republican. I think he just did a series of interviews to give them negative publicity. If I’m remembering correctly, that seems like a reasonable response.

I don’t think Landowners is practical any more but I’d go along with having the acceptance of any sort of government largesse cause your voting rights to be suspended. Or a requirement that you actually PAY federal tax before you can vote. But right now we need to start with proving citizenship before you can vote.

Maxine Waters has proven my point as to just who those in the Congressional Black Caucus are: the real Uncle Toms.

It is their job, among the Demorats, to keep the black vote locked up on the government plantation society.

The federal treasury is the money purse of the limousine liberal masters of that plantation and the Congressional Black Caucus buys the votes on the branches of the government plantation society back home, with their political allegiance to the left and in return they get promises from the masters for more hand-outs and more entitlements, for the “poo folk who just cannot succeed on their own” [the racism of low expectations]. At least that’s the line the Maxine Waters/Uncle Toms must sell - the Marxist/Liberal/Socialist line - in order to get their political masters to give them the money to buy the votes on the plantation.

Let the Marxist/Leftist/Liberals’ amnesty votes help bring about the end of the government plantation society and bring true, mature political freedom to hard working African-Americans. They need see clearly now the political servitude that the Maxine Waters’ types hold them in; and hope to keep them in.

You are correct.....
the majority of the media is firmly in the camp of the enemy and firmly against America and the American people, even though the media (inside this nation) are American too.
What strangeness we have taking place! Though I'm not surprised. The media is always praying for our demise. If it bleeds, it leads.

“Maybe only landowners should be allowed to vote?”

Or maybe just those that pay the bills. What’s happening is that politicians are building constituencies by playing a type of Robin Hood; they take from those that work and give it to those who don’t. Maybe we Republicans should pass a law that taxes Silicon Valley to buy the new I Phone for every graduating senior. That why we rob people who would never vote for us, and garner a new class of voters to our side. Far-fetched? Isn’t taxing those working hard between the east and west coasts to give health care to a new block of voters for the Dem side the same thing?

The answer is easy. Socialists, such as Waters, are using illegal immigration as a tool to further their goal of replacing our Democratic Republic with Socialism. I agree, however, I don't believe that this is the only reason... I have no doubt that some in congress see the sort of world that the 3rd world illegal aliens are coming from, and they're aware that while citizens of the US wouldn't support the level of corruption that the 3rd worlders are used to, they're hoping that the illegal aliens will bring their sort of government with them, along with the levels of corruption that the US has never seen.

These congress-critters look on the oligarchy in most of the 3rd world, and wish that they could be a part of the top...
