U.S. law enforcement officials received intelligence reports two weeks ago warning of a possible terror attack in Glasgow against "airport infrastructure or aircraft," a senior US law enforcement officials tells the Blotter on ABCNews.com.
The intelligence reports also warned that airports and aircraft in the Czech Republic could be the targets of al Qaeda-connected terrorists.
The warnings were kept secret for operational reasons, according to officials. In public, the White House and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff have continued to maintain they know of no specific or credible threats involving the United States, even though the intelligence reports specify US aircraft as possible targets.
A US official told ABCNews.com that the intelligence reports led to the assignment of Federal Air Marshals to flights into and out of both Glasgow and Prague.
Air marshals had been added to flights into and out of Germany late last month, based on similar warnings.
ABC news reporting the London incident is linked and a bystander is shown saying one of the perps was shouting Allah, Allah, Allah.

To be fair, the man on fire at the scene may have been shouting 'ouch, ouch, ouch!'
LOL
I think the one being burned was screaming “Aloe, Aloe, Aloe!”
That’s even funnier. LOL.
;-)
That’s 10x funnier than my ‘ouch!’ Maybe 100x funnier! Kudos and thanks for a great laugh! :-)
One in the same? I guess it depends on how perverted someone is....
Did ABC leak this, OR was it part of the ABC-Pentagon PR plan?
Thats British, right?
Good one!
That Michael Chertoff would know ANYTHING would suprise me.
I thought it was “ALLAH~~~ALLAH~~~FUBAR~~~”...;0)
Obvioulsy a Rovian directed plot to instill hate and fear in the peace lovers of the world.
We all now know that the War on Terror isn’t real, it is just a Bumper Sticker Slogan.
John Edwards wouldn’t lie, would he? *sarc off*
Here is the real laugh - ABC had a ‘Special Report’ on this airport attack during the Busch NASCAR race - after 5:00 pm.
This attack was reported and followed by FReepers at 1:04 pm.
Right on the ball MSM !
The bystander himself , who is French, was saying “Oh,la, la”!
Our so-called "intelligence agencies" give themselves way too much credit.
From you that is a high compliment! :^)
lol again!
You’re very funny today.
A dig on the French is still Apropo...LOL
A: He doesn't wan't them (or us) riled up about our "immigrant communities".
Maybe Jorge Boosh, our worst president since Hoover, really did know what was going down on 9/11 and decided not to act. It's total speculation, but from the trends and historical facts, it's not aimless.
Sniff, Sniff
>>I think the one being burned was screaming Aloe, Aloe, Aloe!<<
lmao!!!
You brought that with you from DU?
How do you know he didn't?

"Don`t shoot! Let them burn!"
This will not meet with the US MSM's reporting rules of engagement.
Nope, unfortunately, I brought it from Free Republic.
Nah! Just separation between Church and State. Nutin’ to see here...
So what?
I would be upset if the administration or intelligence sources DID reveal publicly what they know. Some things just need to be kept quiet and handled behind the scenes.
Three FAILED bombings in the past two days.
Specific and credible threat: My buddy and I are going to light our car on fire and then smash it into the Glasgow airport, and here’s the image of our pathetic bombs.
A rumor: Watch the news when the full moon comes in Glasgow! Praise Allah!
The US heard, likely from the Brits, that there was possibly an attack coming on an airport, and took action based on the level of intelligence (assigning air marshals to these flights.) What more is the US supposed to do?
He was calling out to Al Gore: “Uh,Al, uh Al, uh Al...”
This allah guy they keep talking to should be arrested and interrogated.
Please disregard. Totally stupid comment from an apparent dimwit.
And your DU screen name would be...?
Nope, unfortunately, I brought it from Free Republic.
Link it!
Someone with a higher moral standard than the bum who wanted to kill people? Just sayin'....
Lord help me, but this thread is a hoot:-D Sometimes gallows humor is called for on dark days, like the recent ones our British cousins are suffering through.
I’ve seen comments on FR like that, on occasion. No, I don’t have any links, and no I personally refuse to believe it of our President. I still have trouble wrapping my mind over all the mischief caused by the Clintons.
You are, or rather were on the wrong forum.
And your DU screen name would be...?
You know, I just never have understood why some on this forum just have to support President Bush regardless of what he supports and accuse anyone of being from DU who disagrees with the current party line. I have never voted for a democrat and as far as I can see, never will. Why do we have to be like most democrats and say ‘our party/president right or wrong’? If we keep on doing that, we will keep on getting more of the same. People called, wrote, emailed, and made themselves heard about the immigration bill and it got stopped - this time. I oppose the president on immigration, and some other issues. That does not make one a DU plant. We need to let our leaders know we WON’T support them right or wrong. It worked with the immigration bill and has a chance of continuing to work,if we will speak up.
Thanks a lot.
Some of us disagree on on his domestic issues (illegal immigration), but to say we want a different candidate than what was offered would be ludicrous. He is a fine man whom differs with some of us on important issues. That's all..
The issue is Illegal immigration.
I’m not sure on what front he’s been a fine President. Size and cost of gov’t driven up with center-left ideas like No Child Left Behind and Prescription Drug Coverage. Significant tactical and strategic errors in executing the war in Iraq. Failure to rally the country with abysmal public speaking skills. Willingness to compromise with Dems again on immigration. Squandered a once-in-a-generation majority building opportunity, lacked the will to build up forces in Iraq to adequate levels to secure the country.
I’m sure I’ll be attacked by many, but it’s time to start dealing with the W legacy. It is not pretty for the party. We have lost our conservative tether on many issues, and he has been a catalyst for much of that. It does no good to whine about the leftist media, H-wood, and other left-wing groups. These exist and will continue to exist. The President’s job is lead the country and vanquish these forces intellectually and politically. To do that in today’s world, one has to be an effective public speaker. W is as bad now, if not worse, than when he started.
Considering the idealogical and political momentum that Reagan left office with, the Bush legacy will be to have reversed the momentum. Those are the facts.
