CNN now reporting that the one crispy critter that is currently in the hospital had been reported dead and then was revived last night, that was why there was confusion in the reports.

What an ugly building. Looks like an old bomb that was dropped and landed upside down.

CNN reports last night 6-30-07:

ROBERTSON: Fire crews struggled to put out the blaze, one attacker dying at the scene, the other two arrested. One of them taken to the hospital in critical condition.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0706/30/cnr.02.html

ROESGEN: One suspect dead, one in critical condition, and one more in custody. Apparently we've learned that there were at least three people involved in today's terrorist incident in Scotland. Chief Constable William Rae of the Scottish police had this to say about the one suspect who was badly burned and yet still alive and apparently still dangerous.

ROESGEN: Now in questioning by reporters, the constable says that the one suspect who was badly burned and who is still in the hospital in critical condition was wearing some sort of explosive device. He wouldn't call it a suicide belt, but he said it was threatening enough that they had to evacuate part of the hospital to get this explosive device off that suspect. Once again that suspect is in critical condition at the hospital. Another is under arrest, in custody, and then we later learned that there was a third person involved and that that body is still in that car that they have still not yet removed from the airport in Glasgow.

After hearing how Bush was allowing Saudi Arabia to send thousands of problem students to america, and how we’re going to accept thousands of Iraqis and how the border is wide open, i can’t support the guy anymore.

I know we can’t leave Iraq, so im not advocating that.. but everything we’re doing there is a waste.. our nation is not being secured, we’re court martialing marines who do their jobs, and we handcuff the troops..

this is all leading to devasating failure in the years to come

Out of harm's way: Police officers hold down one of the badly-burned men outside the Glasgow arrivals hall moments after he had set himself alight

Two doctors held over bomb attacks

Held: The couple are arrested on the M6

· Members of al-Qaida linked group run by ‘Mr Big’ still at large
· Five arrested suspects were not born in Britain, say sources
· Glasgow and London attempts linked as probe gathers pace

Police and the security services are still hunting for at least three members of an al-Qaida linked terrorist cell suspected of attempting to commit mass murder using car bombs in London and Glasgow. Counter-terrorism officers believe the cell has at least eight members, linked by a controlling “Mr Big”.

Do his superiors think he'll talk, or is that the standard treatment for those who fail a suicide bombing?

I just said it looks like Islamic art, i.e the dome of a mosque. The onion shape, the geometric lattice patterns. I tried to find out who the architect was, but came up short, just the firm. Google-up some islamic architecture, view it with your mind’s eye and see if you don’t agree. Hey, I regret that London is losing it’s Britishness. That’s all!But you can’t put the toothpaste back into the tube.

But we’re doing our best to catch up [on Muslim immigration], and when we do (including all the Iraqi refugees we’re going to end up taking in), we will have similar problems. It’s only a matter of time if we keep importing trouble.

I agree. Frankly, I don't care about the Mexicans - we have to work out some way of keeping people who are here working, making Mexico pay for some of the related expenses, and getting rid of the criminals - but on the whole, I am much more concerned about the LEGAL immigration of Muslims to the US. Bush keeps cheerfully announcing that he's increasing it, like this is something we should be happy about, and nobody here on FR even seems very concerned about it. But we are complete fools if we let in any more Muslims, and in fact, we should focus on the Muslim community and go house to house searching for illegals that we could legitimately deport.

One of the ways they get here, in addition, is that they come over the Canadian border, since Canada has always permitted a lot of immigration from Pakistan and other formerly British areas, and most of them are legal, too. They may come into this country illegally, or may stay illegally, at any rate, but the problem is that they are already legal residents of our next door neighbor to the North. We're heading for big problems.

Confirming what you wrote about Iraqi "refugees":"

The doctor involved in the Glasgow attack is an Iraqi who is thought to have been granted asylum in the UK while a third suspect comes from Lebanon.

Wow. Incredible reports. One of them (the guy in the picture?) was an Iraqi doctor at a hospital in the UK; another one was also a doctor. Some Hippocratic oath they take in the ME!

My thoughts too. I also wondered if a car bomb might have been parked at the hospital prior to the airport incident in order to set it off to kill those who might have been injured.
