Jim Rice was 27th in homers during the 1970s and 12th during the 1980s (Mike Schmidt was 1st during the 1980s); during the “decade” from 1975-1984, Rice was 2nd with 303 homers to Schmidt’s 370.
Jim Palmer was the winningest pitcher of the 1970s with 186, 2 more than Gaylord Perry (and 8 more than Steve Carlton Fergie Jenkins and Tom Seaver). Jack Morris was the winningest pitcher of the 1980s, though, with 162.

If this news could go national, the ministries could make up the money via donations. They'd probably make a lot more than they'd need. I'd certainly donate. They're a fine organization. They help a lot of lost people get back on their feet.
