Perspectives: Planned Parenthood opposes choice (Abstinence)

I know it's hard to believe. Planned Parenthood opposing choice? Never!

Ever since Roe v. Wade, over 30 years ago, Planned Parenthood has rallied its forces around the banner of CHOICE. The ultimate insult, by extension, has been anti-choice. If you are an enemy of Planned Parenthood, the banner is hoisted high in the sky and voices rise in shrill chants, "Anti-choice, anti-choice, anti-choice!"

Thus, it is a momentous occasion when Planned Parenthood has adopted the tactics of the enemy. Planned Parenthood is ANTI-CHOICE! Yes, it is. Really!

If choice mattered, politicians funded by Planned Parenthood would listen to parents. And parents have clearly set out what they want for their children. A 2007 Zogby poll of parents of children age 10-16 showed the following:

Planned Parenthood would have you believe otherwise. They have spent years trying to convince parents otherwise. They have confounded, confused, manipulated, exaggerated, engineered, maneuvered, exploited ... but all to no avail.

Once the truth is revealed, once parents understand the core content and message of abstinence education, by a 3-to-1 margin parents want government funding of sexual abstinence education that promotes abstinence until marriage as the best for their child's health and future.

Planned Parenthood has reached the end of the road. The truth cannot be denied. Thus it must be faced head-on. Planned Parenthood is finally ANTI-CHOICE.

Planned Parenthood and its allies have clamped down on congressional members. They don't care about the choice of parents who choose abstinence education. Choice? They're against it!

In the greatest ANTI-CHOICE campaign of the year, Planned Parenthood has mustered its full force to deny parents and their children the choice to have abstinence education programs. And congressional members who receive campaign donations from Planned Parenthood are all too willing to be a part of this campaign.

Until June 30, federal funding under Title V paid for the choice that parents want ... abstinence education. Even with this funding, the educational choice of parents received only one-tenth of the money given to condom-promotion education ... much of that condom-pushing money going to Planned Parenthood programs.

But nine-tenths of the money tree isn't enough for Planned Parenthood. No. They want it all. Choice? Hang Choice. Forget Choice. Kill Choice.

July 1 is a watershed date. It is the line in the sand. It is the time when parents must finally take things into their own hands and demand that their choice be heard. They must gather their voices and rattle the phones of the congressional representatives who are supposed to represent them.

If not, Planned Parenthood will have ten-tenths. And our children will have nothing. This is clearly the goal of Planned Parenthood in its fierce campaign ... ANTI-CHOICE!

NOTE: June 30, 2007, was the final date for reauthorization of Title V funding for abstinence education. House Committee Chair John Dingle (D-Michigan) has long vowed to let Title V expire, thus eliminating funding for abstinence education under this bill. As Senate business drew to a close the evening of June 27, the full Senate voted by unanimous consent to extend Title V Abstinence Education funding for three months. However, the House -- which reconvenes on July 9 -- recessed without taking any action. This leaves abstinence program directors around the country in limbo. While there are indications that some House members will return from recess and fight to join the Senate in approving the three-month extension, there is no assurance that this will happen. Abstinence educators will not receive paychecks during this time of limbo, and programs may "crash" for lack of money, even if House action eventually restores funding.

Congress needs to hear immediately from supporters of abstinence education. Goodwill exists in both parties to support reauthorization, but your voice is needed to make it a reality. Immediate calls to your representatives in the House are essential. Urge them to follow the lead of the Senate to extend funding for Title V at least through September 30. The Capitol Switchboard can connect you to your member of Congress: (202) 224-3121.

Planned Barrenhood long ago gave up any pretense of caring about people.

Thereby coming back with the line, I might be anti-choice, but since I am pro-life that makes you pro-death.

**Perspectives: Planned Parenthood opposes choice (Abstinence)**

Of course they would oppose it. Abstinence could shut down their business of killing babies and harming would-be mothers.

Abortion is the choice of Planned Parenthood; its what they do and who they are.

Using the most subtle and deceptive of propaganda and manipulating people’s basest emotions, PP sold abortion as a choice worth considering. Now much of the culture is dependent on abortion as on a drug. For those who bought the lie it’s not just a choice it’s a necessity.

Two out of three parents believe that promoting alternatives to intercourse (such as showering together and mutual masturbation, which are presented in some comprehensive programs) encourages sexual activity.

And what about the one-third who don't think taking showers together encourages sexual activity? Are they comatose? Do they weigh 400 pounds? Who are these people?

That one third must be liberals. It explains the lack of brain cells.

I see you are already here, MountainFlower. I was going to ping you. :)

Planned Parenthood and liberals don’t care what parents want. They sure as heck don’t care about teen abstinence. The liberal agenda is all ages having sex with multiple partners of both genders. Planned Parenthood and liberals know contracpetion isn’t foolproof. However, Planned Parenthood’s eyes are filled with their two favorite things, death and dollar signs.

My son is 38. I can remember when there were parents who would claim allowing their teens to drink in their presence at home and have friends over to do as well was all we had to worry about with him! Can you imagine trying to raise morally upright children now? Shower together? Amazing!

w/ the picture you brought to mind, the rest of the story ?! // seriously, there is far more behind what we see or hear about. we only scratch the surface, only see the facade PP wants us to see...unless God blesses w/ a greater discernment.

the plan is bigger. PP was promoting HPV shot! why?? before I found the proof, my gut was already telling me the underlying issue was to give women the feeling of being protected. 'safer sex' kind of attitude only regarding the disease and saying nothing about the promiscuity issue, or possible conception issue. give them a false sense of security about the diseases, ignore the real issue.

there is a similar workings on the fight for abstinence programs. why is it that they can promote 'safe sex' in the schools, but not abstinence? (keep in mind this is their view of safe sex) who do you supposed is behind that blockade??

then we have a movement to take our children out of our homes at an even earlier age...SD was pressing for the Pre-School issue. they said it WASN'T mandatory in the bill they were trying to pass, however...had one been there listening to what was said, one would have heard, "let's just give it a little kick down the aisle and see how it goes". their end goal IS for mandatory pre-school for ages 3-4!

there is an entire movement shifting and trying to undermine family values. it isn't coming from the right! God open our eyes and remove the complacency. put a fire within us, a plan to carry out, and the knowledge that you go with us!
