Heathrow, England, 3 July (AKI) - Passengers said on Tuesday that Terminal 4 at London's Heathrow airport was being evacuated after a suspect package was found. Officials at the airport could not confirm that the terminal was being evacuated but said a suspect bag had been found, Reuters news agency reported. Flights departing from Terminal 4 are mainly operated by British Airways and by Dutch KLM, to European and long-haul destinations. Britain is on 'critical' security alert following last week's failed bombings at Glasgow airport and in central London, believed to be an-Qaeda plot. Security services fear a terror attack could be imminent.
Following the incident last at Glasgow Airport following the attempted carbombing there on Saturday - when a fuel-loaded jeep was rammed into the terminal, bursting into flames - and two failed car bombings in London discovered last Friday, additional security measures are in place at all British airports, including new restrictions and checks on luggage.
Eight people have been arrested and are being questioned by police on Tuesday in connection with botched car bombings in Glasgow and London and all have links with the National Health Service, and at least four of them are doctors. The investigation of the plot has spread as far as Australia, where police have reportedly detained an Indian doctor, Mohamed Haneef, under counter-terrorism laws. Three of the doctors being questioned trained overseas and had worked at British hospitals.

Security alert closes Heathrow T4
Heathrow Airport's Terminal Four has been evacuated following a series of security alerts across London.
Officials at the airport confirmed a suspect bag had been found and said all passengers are being searched.
"In response to a suspect bag in Terminal 4, secondary searches are now being carried out on departing passengers," BAA, which manages the airport, said in a statement.
"Contingency plans have now been activated. We are working with the police to bring a swift resolution to the incident."
The UK's security threat level has been set at "critical" since two car bombs were found in central London on Friday and members of a suspected al-Qaeda cell attacked an airport in Scotland on Saturday.
Earlier, a controlled explosion was carried out on suspicious objects in Hammersmith, west London, bringing chaos to Tube and bus services in the area.
And officers were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the city's financial district which led to the temporary closure of the Circle Line on the London Underground.
Elsewhere, police carried out a controlled explosion on a car at a Mosque in Glasgow. They confirmed that the vehicle is linked to the UK-wide bomb plot investigation which has now stretched as far as Australia.
Police stressed the car had not contained explosives and had been destroyed as a precaution.
Police have banned cars and other vehicles from directly approaching airports in the UK and security measures have been stepped up across the country. Authorities have kept the threat level at "critical" - the highest rating.

I am not discounting the threat of Muslims in this country but, I believe that deep down they are frightened of Americans. For them to do anything here it would have to be big like 9/11. No matter how hard the libs try to change it, we are still an armed society and basically, no matter what the MSM says the average Joe will still kick your a$$. If they start that crap here, there will be nowhere for anyone of Arab descent to hide. Like it or not the average person will profile and protect themselves and their families. They’d be opening up a can of whoop-ass and they know it.

My daughter is at this very moment on a flight from Heathrow (I hope she made the flight). According to the flight status, it left at 7:54 London time and is due to arrive in Chicago at 10:00. She was visiting a friend in London who lives about three miles from where the failed car bombs were found. I will be so glad when she gets home.
My daughter came home through that terminal on Sunday. Because of security concerns, she had to drag two 70# bags and a fully loaded backpack down an escalator. She lost control of one of the bags and nearly took out a couple of elderly Texan ladies at the base of the escalator. I’m glad she got home safely.
Expulsion, deportation, kick them out. However you say it, it’s the same. There is only one solution to this problem. They go back to their backward, savage, murderous, uncivilized totalitarian hell holes. We go on with our lives.

I was relieved when she landed also.
Milwaukee (General Mitchel) is doing random vehicle checks near the terminal and not allowing vehicles to to linger at the terminal. They are giving out a 1/2 hour free parking in the detached parking structure and recommending you pick up your passengers there.
bull. Its always “next time we’ll get you” and they know its a playground threat, that the law is on their side that what joe average does, doesn’t matter in the long run. And they are in this for the very, very long run.
Capture? How about sending them all back, every time they step out of line, bomb them. Repeat until they either get the point or they are all dead.
