BABY BOOMER: PROUD PAPA IN BRIT BOMB CELL WAS AN AGENT OF IRAQI QAEDA
NY Post ^ | July 4, 2007 | ANDY SOLTIS

Posted on 07/04/2007 6:41:25 AM PDT by COUNTrecount

He looks like the perfect husband and doting father - but Dr. Mohammed Asha was on a secret al Qaeda terror mission in Britain that was carefully plotted years ago in Iraq, intelligence sources claimed yesterday.

New disclosures emerged about the alleged double life of the brilliant 26-year-old neurosurgeon who is a suspected ringleader of the London and Glasgow car-bomb sleeper cell.

Asha, born into a Palestinian family originally from the city of Hebron in the West Bank, was destined for a great medical career, scoring the third-highest mark on the University of Jordan's medical-school entrance exam.

In 2004, he graduated and married his grade-school sweetheart, Marwa Dana, a lab technician.

After getting a visa to continue his career in Britain, Asha seemed to impress everyone he met. In April, he received a standing ovation after making a presentation at the 150th meeting of the prestigious Society of British Neurological Surgeons.

On Saturday, his cover was ripped open after he and his wife were arrested on a British highway by a fleet of police cars in connection with three attempted car bombings.

British intelligence officials said the plot began at least three years ago, when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, then head of al Qaeda in Iraq, ordered a top aide to recruit young men in the Mideast for an overseas mission, CBS News reported.

The recruits were enlisted by Zarqawi's sidekick, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, in 2004 and 2005, and chosen for their ability to get into Western countries.

The Daily Mail reported that up to 12 al Qaeda members had been recruited to work in the hospitals.

So they'll start their search by questioning the white doctors.

Oh, I believe it. Double agents can have a "perfect cover." Its the secret side of them that makes them so dangerous. The traitor works in the open and you know he's with the enemy. Not so with the double agent. There's no way of ascertaining where his true loyalty lies until its too late. Sometimes we get lucky.

What to expect when these guys get great press for bombing women and children in the marketplace.

They are called “winners” in war, excused for their cowardice, and their murder rationalized as response to “oppression”, “occupation”, and GWB made me do it.

They are heroes to the left, their media, Hollywood, and half the world.

The brits are now in a situation where they haveto separate the wheat from the chaff. Some of these Doctos they are arresting are probably innocent. That remains to be seen.

What would make a man and wife who have a beautiful child want to cause destruction and death to innocent people.

This man obviously is not stupid, If a man like this would kill innocents and pose as a moferate ,how many others are doing the same thing. I have said before there are no moderates, only those who havent yet killed. This case certainly bears that out.

When it come to Muslims they cannot be trusted, its part of their religion to lie and deceive.

Of course you are correct. And it could drive a stake through the argument. And it does deserve more attention. However, in order to get this attention you have to be willing to fight. Our leaders either through ignorance, laziness, or cowardice won’t fight. And that is the real issue. One hopes that the leadership is keeping their powder dry but after 2006 I don’t think they have any powder. Have a great fourth. And recall what it took to birth this nation.

I agree with you. My son who is brilliant and a doctor, is 29 and in his third year of a surgical residency. He hopes to be a neurosurgeon some day, after 8 - 10 more years of learning. This guy didn't have enough experience to be a first year intern. Is this what socialized medicine gets you?

Isn't 26 about the time he should have been graduating from med school?

In 2004, he graduated and married his grade-school sweetheart, Marwa Dana, a lab technician.

On their wedding night when he finally saw her without her burqua, did she look like he expected? Was he "man" enough to break her scars or did he cheat with a kitchen knife?

None of those arrested so far were 'double agents'.
They were doctors and their 'successful' integration into the system was their cover.

If you want a double agent, consider this quote:
"At least one British-born official is being hunted, a source said, without disclosing where the search is centered."

That's the one that caught my eye...an 'official' of - what? Responsible for - what?

I think that historically the core of any fanatic movement is in the intelligentsia, the foot soldiers are peons expecting to benefit from the next series of leaders. But the islamists have done pretty well at recruiting middle class, successful, morons for suicide missions.

Scariest is that these people could have done far more damage without ever tipping their hand.

“Sleeper Cells”; I wrote, maybe this plot was hatched a long time ago.

Also, with immigration, well; when someone applies for a green card and is a Doctor or Engineer; their value goes up; maybe this will be rethought as to whom should be allowed.

Exactly!
If they belong to the cult of satan/Islam/muhammed nut job, etc. then they should be banned/arrested and jailed for life.
If they try to wear a burka in public, they should be arrested. As to the sympathy for the “poor child” of the demon doctor, he is guilty by heredity. He too may one day become an Islam radical.

It says “at least” three years ago. Sorry, the “they were recruited since the war” just doesn’t make any sense. Just when they were at a point they could become leaders and be free to practice, worship, go as they please — they decide to give up their futures, families, and lives for a dumbass terror movement?

That is how Al-Qaeda gets in. They recruit valuable members
of our society. Most people on missions bring something of
value to the society they are going to. Unfortunately these
people value the targeting of innocent bystanders.
And I have friends who think “water-boarding” is torture.

I think in a lot of foreign countries, people go to medical school straight from high school. In the US, a 26 year old would maybe have med school and one year of residency behind him. A neurosurgery residency is often 7 years. I would say he may be brilliant, but he doesn’t have the training of a US doctor.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi set up shop in Iraq as soon as Afghanistan fell to the coalition. They plotted from Iraq and killed US Diplomat to Jordan, Foley. They plotted from Iraq the thwarted chemical attack against Jordan and American interests in Jordan.

It’s long been known that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and al-Qaeda had been in Iraq since about 2002. Even the MSM will not deny this, but they won’t discuss it either. It’s been swept under the carpet. But no one can say that they were not there before the start of the war. Bush has been right from the start.

Agree 100% Tom. There is one document that I translated and talks about Iraqi Intelligence discussing the presence of Zarqawi in Iraq in 2002.

There is a new documentary done by the media wing of Al Qaeda terrorist group called "The Return to the Mountains" and it shows the establishment of Al Qaeda in Iraqi Kurdistan during the last 2 years of Saddam regime and with the full approval of Saddam regime.

According to information from an "a terrorist supporter internet site", there was a top Senior officer in Saddam army who was in charge of the ammunition depot and who had have strong relations with AL Qaeda long before the war started. It was this Saddam army officer who gave the ammunitions and the ammunitions depot locations to Al Qaeda after the fall of Saddam regime.

Also we know from the documents that I translated and published on FR that Saddam regime trained a lot of "Foreign Arabs non Iraqi Fedayeens" in Iraq since 1999 and Saddam issued a decree during the war to treat these "Arabs Fedayeens" with the same wages and benefits as members of the Iraqi special forces. The "Foreign Feedayeens" were for sure "Al Qaeda terrorists" who later on brought so much death and destruction on Iraq.
