Michael Moore Will Be Invited to Tehran Film Festival for "Sicko" Screening

On July 2, 2007, the Iranian news agency Mehr, reported that Michael Moore will be invited to Iran by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center for a screening of his new film "Sicko" at an Iranian festival for documentary films called Reality Cinema. The festival is set to take place in Tehran from October 15-19.

Tehran (eCanadaNow) - Michael Moore has reached Iran for a screening of his new film Sicko.

This is the very first international documentary film festival in history held in Iran and the writer, director, and producer was proud to be a part of it.

Michael Moore interviewed many Americans who have received poor or no treatment by U.S. health care insurance companies in the film Sicko.  To say that it paints a less than flattering image of the health care system in the United States would be a huge understatement.

The flim already has many critics in the government in the United States simply because the criteria of the film makes a lot of people look very bad.

The universal free health care systems in Canada, France, Britain, and Cuba are all looked at closely and compared to the poor health care in America.

The film is pushing for a universal health care plan and because of it the support continues to rise.

My brother’s girlfriend recently said she wanted to go see the “Sicko” movie. I told her not to waste her money. She gave me the same look I get when I tell her Al Gore is a fake and spouts propaganda. She belives unquestionably in Al Gore’s movie “An Inconvenient Truth”. It is hard to believe she can walk and chew gum at the same time.
