You mean to tell me that in the vast expanse of Maine there wouldn't be a mountain lion, or two, or three...??

Now, my obligatory "Honey, the cat wants in" photos ..........

Up until a decade or so back, Minnesota DNR biologist denied the possibility of cougars roaming MN forests. Of course, locals and hunters had been reporting sightings for some years, but the official view was: tut, tut, you ignorant yokels - let the professionals tell you what is what. To make a long and arrogant story short, a cougar was killed by a car and later on one was shot in one of the parks along the Minnesota river systems right in the Twin Cities metro.

Suffice it to say, DNR officials and wildlife experts are now authorities on the re-population of cougars in Minnesota. For my money, in the lower 48, I favor the SSS policy.

I love Maine Coon cats. Great personalities.

Maine Coons are the cat for people who think they could never like cats!

Ours passed away on 25 May :-(

Our family has a Maine Coon. I say our family because Boris started out with my nephew. He gave him to his mom before he started traveling in South America. His mom then gave it to my son. My son had several years of serious illness during which sometimes Boris and sometimes both of them lived with us. Son is recovered now and Boris is with him and wife and their other two cats. I feel like asking for visitation rights.
