Hollywood blew a great chance to make barrels of money and keep people entertained when they chose to support the wrong side of the war on terror.
If they had put out good war movies that showed who the enemy is and what is really taking place the theaters would have been packed.
. If there were television series showing the good side of good Americans and the dilemmas they face people would be watching. If the comedies were more like Andy Griffin and less like, well, what they are now and if they did away with laugh tracks and performed in front of a live audience where they would have to be entertaining to survive, etd., etc., etc.
Conservatives should begin producing their own movies, their own TV shows, print their own newspapers and have their own TV news shows. Just as in talk radio, let the market decide what gets watched and listened to.

Darn there are lots of FReepers who caught this double speak.
If the shows were quality then people would be watching.
Where are the shows like Gun Smoke, Big Valley, Bonanza, Dragnet.
It’s hard to believe that Hollywood can not produce a television show that the entire family can watch.
A show with out having to spell out every perverted detail of life so the current air headed audience can understand.
A show where everyone understands what is going on without having to utter gobs of four letter words.
No Mr. Graboff, you like most liberals have made a commitment that it’s your free speech way or the XZ#X%Z##@X highway.
You guys in Hollywood remind me of another group of arrogant individuals serving themselves and special interest in our congress.
Believe it or not you should take a lesson from Disney and produce a show like Hanna Montana, Ned's School, Drake and Josh, Sweet Life of Zack and Cody.
Instead, they hide it away on Bravo. More's the pity.
The problem as I see it with television is that they are listening to experts who have nothing in common with the potential viewing audience.
I disagree. I got the series "Lost" on Netflix, and I watched the entire first 2 seasons in a couple of weeks. In my opinion, this series is proof that a network can produce up to 26 hours of quality television in one year.
Battlestar Galatica, South Park and HBO boxing. The rest is garbage.
And not much on any of the other networks - still pissed at Fox over Wonder Falls.
I have been watching VH1 - Celeb Fit Club and Charm School (spin off of Flavor of Love) - didn't realize Dustin Diamond (Screech) was such an ass until CFC.
Other than that it is hodge podge of what catches my attention - Scooby Doo, Mama's Family, Golden Girls, Top Chef, baseball ect.
And, as I was scanning the listings the other night, they went the extra mile by interrupting their marathon (TZ?) to put in the ECW show.
The Skiffy Channel also has been known to show L&O epis, as if the various series aren't on enough hours in the day as it it.
It started acting weird when they hired some Clintonistas. That, and a woman CEO.
I've had this argument before here at FR and it boils down to people not liking fundie Christians. We can argue all night about nit picky stuff, but what so called " moderate Christians" come back with is usually unbiblical. Just because TV shows 2 people humping, doesn't make it right in God's eyes no matter how many people do it these days. Look at gcruse's comment. He says I came into the world by humping. My parent were married and in the Holy sacrament of marriage. That makes it OK to God, in fact encouraged and sanctified. Bringing up the fact that my parents had sex to conceive me has nothing to do with people swapping beds every week on TV, or in real life. A woman that has several sex partners a year doesn't mean God sanctions it. It means He wrote many passages about whores and their fate in His Scriptures, but it isn't acceptable behavior in His eyes. By attacking me, saying it is from Satanic origins, doesn't change the facts. What I say isn't at odds with what God says. 90% of all humans can have sex out of wedlock and all it means is they have no gripe against God when they get pregnant, catch STD's, lose their husbands/wives, or even die of AIDS. Many people seem to think God is the problem, but their own actions destroy themselves.
Again, it's not about ME saying it's Satanic behavior, it IS anti God, and agreed by most Bible believers to be a forbidden behavior. It's always easier to attack the messenger than argue against the message. It's fascinating to me how someone can quote scripture verbatim and have people argue that he/she is a fanatic. It would make more sense to argue that God is the fanatic.
Jesus said the spirit of antichrist was already in the Earth when He walked here. That spirit is the spirit of rebellion against Him. To boil it down to it's simplest terms, anything not of God is Satanic. To argue about whether TV has Satanic messages on it is ludicrous. That's pretty much 90% of everything you watch. There wouldn't be much story if there weren't murder, sex, lying, violence, greed, and rebellion there. It isn't that what you are watching is unusual, but that it seems to make no difference to people what they watch because they have become adjusted to thinking it's normal. If you look at just my lifetime, we have gone from Leave it to Beaver, to Desperate Housewives and George Burns to Richard Pryor. Just picture what would have happened to Richard Pryor in the '50s when he started his routine. He most certainly would have been arrested. His message was total evil. God is good, Satan is evil, ergo Richard Pryor's message was Satanic. Try to argue he didn't reap what he sowed. I wonder if his message didn't destroy many other blacks that heard him and believed he was "cool"? That is what Satan does. He lies and destroys and kills. We have grown to accept alot as "normal" in 50 years.
When you watch a program that has young girls and boys having sex and taking drugs in High School, It is designed to destroy and kill your children, but nobody seems to care. I imagine Algore is reaping what he sowed right now with his own son. This stuff just doesn't come from nowhere.
